But when a fool pursues practises of self interest and self isolation, and one track trade, the world responds and shops around for alternative free, less complicated trading, and pacts have been forming, culminating in the RCEP deal.

Apart from a few foreign leaders whose relationship with Trump was that of boot-lickers, World leaders have quickly understood with whom they were dealing with and moved on from Trump four years ago.
From now on, whatever the next presidents, the relationship of world leaders with the United States will certainly be different, less blind or traditionally conciliatory.
Trump has profoundly shaken the foundations of a so-called partnership: trust, reciprocity and respect to name a few.
