    1. @Lilac Lizard if there is a huge percentage of asymptomatic cases then how would would know it’s not a false positive contact tracing only works on symptomatic ones

    2. @William Miller why are you even testing people without symptoms? That’s just STUPID in the setting you’re in there! We’re testing every person who was at the CrossRoads hotel, because we want to eradicate the virus completely as fast as possible, but when you have so many cases & not enough tests, wasting them on people without symptoms is just stupid! And we will certainly be contact tracing any positive tests, symtomatic or not, but shouldn’t be any downstream contacts anyway, since they’re supposed to all be in home quarantine for 14 days & the upstream contact we already know

    3. @Lilac Lizard I knew the media was lying about the virus when they said the majority of the people were getting sick from so called silent super spreaders that isn’t how it’s spread from person to person

    4. @William Miller America doesn’t have a CLUE where anyone’s getting sick from! Never have! It’s all assumption & rumours! I’m in Australia, we actually get accurate information on this virus & we know where it comes from, cause we find the cause of well over 90% of all cases Here’s our Chief medical officer discussing testing asymptomatic people https://youtu.be/eySTM9gHG4A?t=487 We’ve eradicated the virus completely in 6 out of 8 states & territories, all while completely ignoring anyone that doesn’t have symptoms. NZ did the same. Asymptomatic are just not a problem! Once almost all cases are gone, if the infection rate was high, there will be a few virus strains that will cling to life asymptomatically, but they’re weak & really struggle to infect anyone. They tend to manage to infect maybe 1 person before their previous host kills the virus off, so while we primarily eradicated by mid-April, we’re still getting an occasional single case popping up in the heaviest infected state, which is when that asymptomatic virus strain finally manages to cause symptoms in it’s new host & each time that happens, we detect it & find no further transmission & we can eliminate that virus chain completely & very easily.

The crossroads hotel case is clearly not a dormant asymptomatic case turned symptomatic, cause history tells us it just can’t do that! It’s a virus thread that managed to escape the highly infectious, highly symptomatic cases in Melbourne, via a long haul trucker, so it’s being a PIA to contain cause it spreads like mad. Those that get asymptomatic cases o it could be ignored, they’re not going to spread it significantly, but they’ll probably keep it alive at a reproductive rate of 1 for many more months if we don’t grab them all, so since we’ve got the ability to, we’re grabbing all cases now to eradicate completely, but in the situation you guys are in there, you really need to just ignore the asymptomatic cases & focus on the relevant ones!

Note, ANY symptoms & it’s highly infectious, we killed 17 people & infected 80 because of a nurse getting a sniffle on the weekend, being better by Monday & so returning to work.
Note 2, pre-symptomatic is not the same as asymptomatic! people are most infectious 24 hours before they get symptoms. Crossroads has already managed a 3 generation transfer by infecting people within days of exposure of the person above them on the transmission chain & before they got sick & before contact tracers had had time to get the test results back & trace them.

You won’t have any super spreaders who are asymptomatic though! Just doesn’t happen! If they’re a super spreader, it’s cause they’re really social or cause they ignore mild symptoms. They have symptoms!

    5. @Lilac Lizard sounds like they got it much more under control there all the mainstream media has been talking about skyrocketing cases in some states trying to install fear into people but not really mentioning anything its troubling the amount people that are now wearing masks all the time not just inside public places but nearly all the time when driving in their cars out walking etc. before this year hardly anyone wore them but now just about everyone does

  1. Announcer: Corona…you’ve just broken the record for one-day cases in Florida. What are you going to do next?
    Corona: Imma go to Disneyworld!!
    Florida: 😲😬
    Corona: 😎

    1. @Joanna Reyes Ya, about 6 – 8 weeks from now it should be really easy to get a place on the beach. The more time tRump spends at Mar-a-Lago the better.

    2. Covid-19 walks into Disney world and asks the bar tender, Mickey, to start a tab….”I’m buying the first round”.

    1. Joslyn Starling I he not a reTHUGlican?

It is about world view, after all. One might register as Democrat, but carry the jacked-up, ignorant, almost always sexist, and racist outlook. It is literally like looking at the world, and seeing the sky as a different color, but never understanding that your view is corrupted.

    2. @Jeff Webb oh that’s just scrumptious i love it what a perfect all encompassing moniker.

  2. “Leadership: Whatever happens, youre responsible. If it doesnt happen, youre responsible.”

    -TrumpVirus-19 in 2013

    Biden 2020
    🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    1. Any idea how to do this, short of public protests? Class action lawsuit? Teachers, seniors, and people with vulnerable health conditions would make a good class action Interest Group.

    1. @David Hale i say leadership is in question. Did i say who? In question is not blame. You can’t question?

    2. Solonavi WHOS responsible for you and your family ? You are right ? Who’s responsible for making sure you don’t spread anything ? You are right.
Responsiblity starts with the individual doesn’t it ?

  3. # Vote him out Nov, des new trump Democrat mayor. He inerest corparation company over pple safety health

  4. He has 25 years experience in crisis management? Well, this is the crisis he will be remembered for…and not positively!!!

    1. I wonder if that was his job for all those years or if he’s just one of those people that turns everything he does into a crisis

  5. Capitalism: this is not fun at all, no one is consuming things they don’t need 😢

    Covid-19: 🤣

  6. I admire DeSantis’ ability to speak while having his head deep down Trump’s rear end. He should perform in a circus.

    1. I remember DeSantis only won his election by less than 1%. His opponent didn’t contest the election although they believed some suppression happened. Also, the county in Florida with the highest percentage of black residents had the lowest voter turnout. Anyone think your vote doesn’t count now?
The guy that won is making decisions that not only affect lives but are taking lives.

    2. However stand proud because this is America so he will not be held accountable for a single death not one neither him nor Trump no one goes to jail for murder in this country if they get a high enough office remember that

  7. Florida: “We’ll take our chances. If things get really, really bad, then we’ll react. But first, some people have to die.”

  8. The NBA may start their season, but they’ll be forced to shutdown within a month. Same with football.

    1. Teach them to play Rugby & then New Zealand will probably take them in 🙂
The various sports codes in Australia/New Zealand are being moved around the country out of covid’s way so that the games can continue to keep everyone’s spirits up – proper moves though, not silly stuff where they’re all going to constantly get infected

  9. So….how many deaths are acceptable before you decide to close, who’s family is dispensable, so that Disney can make profits?

  10. “Covid cases are spreading like crazy…quickly reopen the theme parks!” – said no sane person ever!

    1. Interesting how it’s the right wing types who dispute Darwin’s theory of evolution who are foremost to push a very merciless medical version of “Survival of the Fittest” on U.S. citizens–especially those residing in red states.

  11. I cannot even imagine the type of idiots actually WANT to go to Disney World right now? It’s stupid & overpriced at any time but now… Cheesus 🙄

    1. Wilma Colon So disappointing! We had a big Disney vacation we wanted to do this summer but we have enough common sense to know Disney isn’t going anywhere

  12. “No one knows what the virus is going to do” Yes there are people that do know, they are called scientists

    1. nope, I’ve read the book, at no point does the bible even mention them, so they’re not real

      sarcasm, hopefully obvious
