Several shrimp boats sheltering in the Port of Lake Charles were battered by Hurricane Laura with their crews aboard. A few were sunk and one man was rescued from the turbulent waters.

  4. My daddy was a shrimper in Rockport, TX and I remember him working so hard as this was his livelihood. He provided well for us growing up in the 50s & 60s & he’d let us sit on his boat just like these children when he came home from the sea. God Bless these folks. Now where’s the kleenex?

  5. People have lost everything like this and yet majority of articles about hurricane laura are about the statue that got toppled 🤦‍♀️

    1. Storm Breeze the real lesson should be that this happens along the gulf coast almost EVERY year. Y’all might want to rebuild somewhere else. 🤔
