    1. @PCPolice Curious why Canada Border Security isn’t asking them to prove they have reservations in Alaska.

  1. So Americans are allowed to come to Canada and I can’t even take a vacation from Ontario to NS this summer to visit my parents?!?!?!

    1. There’s a difference between what’s legal/your ‘freedom’ and what’s technically/economically feasible.
One comment here says working is essential.. not exactly a textbook definition of essential, but nonetheless why CERB now exists. What’s the difference between you making money and the air-travel companies saving money by cutting down flights because of low demand? Blame the market system. Car rental still exists as an option, no?

    2. @Francis68 I can see the largest airport in the country from where I live and it has been very active. Slowed down for a month but never stopped. Now it is as busy as it has ever been……

    1. @mark hart yes, but if they fail to make it there… there could be punishment and severe penalties. What do you have to say about this one?

    2. @mark hart to get to Alaska by road they still have to go through the Yukon Territory in 24 hours and we enforce that 24 hour rule here .

    3. @mark hart They have a right to go to Alaska, they do not have the right to go through Canada to do so, they can fly, or take a boat. Coming through Canada is a privilege, not a right.

  2. I’ve seen , in Ontario the last few weeks , NewYork and Florida licence plates amount other states !

    1. That could just be a bunch of snowbirds coming back to Canada for the summer. Since they are citizen, I think they would be allowed in as long as they have an address here. I think it’s dumb of em to come through, but it’s their right. They have to quarantine though.

    2. Ever heard of a Canadian born in Canada but spends winter in America ??…Yeah that’s what you’re most likely seeing in Ontario…its still a Canadian just travels freely and legally to both countries when he wants.

  3. America does not have their out break under control and as a result American visitors should not be allowed to pass through Canada. If they want to go to Alaska they can fly or travel by ship.

    1. ‘America” what do you mean? There are hot spots but even the hot spots have room in their hospitals. you really need to get out more and turn off bias news. You REALLY need to get out more.

    2. @Trigger Troll That’s an uncontrolled border so it’s not gonna happen. Furthermore, there are travel restrictions imposed in those provinces. You’re ignoring simple statistics if you think the outbreaks there are comparable to the American ones.

    3. @THEUPSTAIRS100 um, maybe you do? As their cases have reached over 2.1 million and have 20,000+ new cases per day? Maybe you should go down there and tell everyone it’s okay because you have room in your hospitals.

    4. @Trigger Troll As an Ontarion, I’m totally fine with this, it’s not like I was going to go there anyway

  4. Ridiculous why would you let the most infected country in the world who are taking so few precautions into a healthy country with no quarantine…are cdn border control stupid?

    1. The CBSA are just stupid as the american border guards for believing the lies the American travellers feed them.

    2. Government Hunter When you come to Canada you deal with Canadian border guards, not American.

    3. Infected with what? You are not insinuating that you believe the government narrative about Covid19 are you? Keep throwing your country under the bus

    4. I agree 100% that Canada needs strict border restrictions but please do not be ridiculous. The most infected country in the world is China, NOT America. If you believe the Chinese numbers after they hid the pandemic from the general public, I have a bridge across the pacific I can sell you, for cheap.

  5. I want to go to BC for vacation but province crossing haven’t lifted so I stay put but having these American come in as though nothing happened down south is totally unacceptable. The RCMP should fines these guys, thrown them into jail for 14 days and deport them out of the country.

    1. you’ve been allowed in BC for a long time, the only provinces that are closed to non residents are Atlantic ones and Manitoba has a mandatory 14 day quarantine period but you can still enter, not that anyone wants to go to Manitoba 😛

    2. Why would they “throw them in jail for 14 days?” To quarantine them? And then what? If you were going to deport someone – why wouldn’t you just, you know, deport them?

  6. It’s funny how Americans have had issues with their borders with illegal travellers in the past, but now all of sudden, they are the ones doing the illegal travelling!

    1. it sure as hell has Canada beat all to hell, saying that as a Canadian that is not blinded by Canadian bullsh!t

    2. @Adamantium Scorpion I agree with you 110%. You can trash talk Americans and keep them from coming into Canada but refugees? that’s waysest!

  7. the proof is in the video at the border…if they said they were going to Alaska & didn’t FINE & JAIL THEM….take away their ability to cross in the future too

    1. [M]oop[S]hat just saying, I bet if Americans see Canadians like this they will do it, it’s the” greatest nation in the world” right?

  8. If they lied about going to Alaska then it’s possible their COVID19 screen answers are untruths too!😱

    1. sadly, we can’t do it the reverse way (I don’t think claiming going to Mexico would work lol)

    2. It’s amazing how everyone isn’t discussing the fact that flights from China have continued without interruption this entire time.

      Quick! Distract! Blame Americans!

    3. BANG ON!! We’re going to be a hot mess in the months to come if this is not dealt with NOW. I luv Americans. I’ve traveled extensively across Canada and U.S.A. This is NOT political. This is survival. This is RESPECT for OUR homeland security.

  9. It sad really how come American has easy access coming into Canada while Canadian have difficulty crossing the boarder even before the Covid-19?

    1. Because Canadians are nicer than Americans… The whole world says so.
edit: Canada is also continuous, and all parts of it can be reached without leaving Canada… America is not.

    2. It has always been this way. Canada is never on the same ground as the superpower USA. Just accept and submit to it.

  10. Isn’t lying to a border patrol officer a crime? They clearly lied! They should be arrested and deported!
