  1. I’m not sure how everytime a war breaks out in an African country there is suddenly thousands of Canadians needing to be evacuated. Problem is we hand out perm residency like candy to refugees who never live here or pay taxes, but the minute they need serious medical attention or to get removed from a conflict zone suddenly they’re Canadian needing to be rescued.

    1. You should probably buy some common sense from a local Walmart. There are Canadians all over the world, and this protection is guaranteed by the Charter. The same as there being Americans all over the world, Germans, French, British… you name it. It is the govt’s responsibility to protect their citizens.

And this is about CITIZENSHIP, not permanent residency. Not sure how in the world you managed to bring something so unrelated.

    2. @12 98 They come here get their citizenship then take off. They don’t want to be Canadian they just want the benefits!

    3. @12 98 Actually no, it is not the government’s function to protect its citizens while abroad. All the government can do is try to assist Canadians while they are abroad, but the Canadian government has no actual ability or method of protecting Canadian citizens.

    1. out of millions of citizens , americans and other nationalities still stuck in the chaos there

  2. She can’t even think straight because she is heartbroken that she is not in NEW YORK WITH HER BOYFRIEND 💔.

  3. FM Joly said due to airport issues, specifically small runways, the RCAF are unable to use C-17 Aircraft, however that is not true at all, the C-17 is a military aircraft, not a civilian airliner, it’s designed to land in combat environments where there might be not the most optimal runways. I literally watched a C-17 complete a full landing in just a few seconds and then it started moving backwards as it’s reverse thrusts are so powerful. C-17s don’t even need runways, as again, we are not talking about a Air Canada jetliner, a C-17 is capable of landing on dirt tracks and fields.

    1. They still need quite a bit of room to take-off (at least 3,500 feet) and it might not be worth the risk to endanger the aircraft.

  4. CANADA , WHAT A JOKE , WHO ARE WE HITCHING A RIDE OUT WITH THIS TIME. iTS THE SAME DOUBLE TALK ALL THE TIME ABOUT WE ARE STUDYING THE SITUATION AND WILL PASS OUR RECOMENDATIONS ON TO THE APPROPRIATE COMMITTEE AS SOON AS WE HAVE STUDIED IT TO DEATH THAT IS . CANADA DOES A BIG AMOUNT OF TALKING BUT IF YOU NOTICE THEY DONT BACK IT UP WITH ANY ACTION TO SPEAK OF JUST MORE TALK AS USUAL .OUR MILITARY IS A LAUGH AROUND THE WORLD.

  5. May as well rescue em then send them to a different country. Cause from what trudeau has done they prolly don’t wanna come back here out of there yes but not back to Canada cause the corruption is unbelievable

  6. You mean Sudanese citizens with Canadian convenience passports for when they get in trouble. Leave the free loaders in Sudan.
