The rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Layou Road from the Hillsborough Bridge eastwards to the York Valley Bridge is nearing completion. The twenty-three million, fifteen thousand, seven hundred and seven dollars and twenty-eight cents ($23,015,707.28) entered the road surfacing phase on Carnival Monday (February 20, 2023), with asphalt work to end by Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
