He is a businessman, albeit a failed one, a businessman nonetheless. If this ride situation continues, the economy is expected to plummet and he would lose millions because all his hotels and resorts would remain closed. So, first, he needs to bailout his business, then second, remove the ban on mass gathering and therefore allow people to go back to his hotels and resorts. But what about people dying, you say? Well, only the poor of them would. But the rich will not, so he is safe.

That’s how the majority of businessmen work most of the time. They would say thats how capitalism works. It’s self evident to them. Look after yourself first and by doing that it benefits the whole community. Not that societies well being is the aim of capitalism but a happy by-product.
