At an event marking 20 years since her daughter Alexis disappeared May 3, 2002, Ayanna Patterson shared her conviction that Alexis will come home. “Alexis, mama coming for you, and you know it. Yeah, she know. Ain't no giving up. We don't give up.”

On the morning of May 3, 2002, Alexis Patterson’s stepfather walked her to the corner and a crossing guard guided the 7-year-old across the street toward Hi-Mount Community School in Milwaukee. At the end of the day, she didn’t come home.

  1. She’s a strong, beautiful woman! She has continued to keep her baby’s memory alive. However, she may be in denial, thinking the young woman in Ohio is really her daughter? I wish her the best and hope in her lifetime, she gets to know what really happened to her baby, Alexis Patterson ♥️ Milwaukee’s baby! ♥️
