Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebrated | USA TODAY

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, during which millions of Americans are celebrated.

In honor of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Gannett’s Asian American Forward Employee Resource Group, which connects almost 130 Asian American employees and allies across the company, wanted to highlight the many rich traditions across cultures.

AAPI month, held every May, is a time to celebrate and honor the contributions Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans have made to our nation’s history, society and culture.

  1. The US is to help Pacific Islands to stave China’s economic coercion and to address their needs:
    – illegal fishing
    – maritime security including UNCLOS, freedom of navigation and overflight,
    – undersea cables for reliable communications in reaction to Chinese expansionism,
    – shared values for democracy to flourish,
    – climate change.

    1. Anybody know when it will be White People Month? We are being discriminated against by not having our own month 😞

  2. Coming from a different heritage, what is the best way for me/or say people to celebrate the heritage of Asian Pacific Americans? I would love to show my love for all heritage.
