  1. this would not be an issue if the government just passes legislature to ban all naturally occurring fires. how is someone allowed to go around and burn and destroy everything? why is such natural arson not a crime yet? how much do them citizens have to suffer in that nation?

  2. Oh hey! Let’s do a “controlled Burn” on the two hottest days of the year so far! Makes total sense.

  3. Fire bans across the Province due to exceptionally dry, hot conditions. So what better time than that to do a ‘prescribed burn’?

    1. Prescribed burns ahead of summer is the best most natural way to prevent catastrophic wild fire. Do some reading

  4. Controlled burns are all right from late november to Marchish but you don’t do it in temperatures of +20 Celsius with prevailing winds. You are asking for trouble no matter how many waterbombers and firefighters you have. It ain’t rocket science to figure that out.

    1. How do you propose to do a controlled burn with 50 feet of snow?????🤯🤯🤯🤯 November to Marchish in the Rockies is not burnable.

  5. The kootenay valley was choked with smoke last week due to “prescribed” burns.🤬🤬

  6. The Doctor who Prescribed the burn should be investigated. Dryness is counter indicative to prescribe fire. What was he thinking?

  7. Who knew that wind can change direction. Thought they were professionals. Too much time sleeping and barbecuing, need more training I reckon

  8. “The funding cutbacks won’t affect park services.” Seems like better training is required. I’m guessing their “safety” meeting involved pop up books and coloring pages🤦‍♂
