  9. Let the GOP “tell” how they think the election will come out: if they defer the nomination and confirmation until after the election, they are saying they are confident (which is what they say). If they rush it, they are admitting they fear they will lose, and are so desperate they could not care less about the optics. Which would say they should wait, morally, ethically and go with what the people have chosen. But those two words (morals and ethics) are unknown in the GOP these days. So I fully expect them to do the bull rush. If so, we need to come back with key legislation (first) and then stack the court if SCOTUS tries to play games.

Axelrod is a really smart guy, and when I see him or other former advisors of Obama I am reminded of how brilliant our previous President was. he chose so many excellent people, and retained nearly all of them throughout his terms in Office. Contrast that with the current President. It’s like night and day.

    3. @Colin Buchheit Then take a closer look at unemployment rate, GDP and average household income at the beginning of Obama’s Presidency and in 2015. What you will find is that all of these metrics improved substantially, leaving DJT with very low unemployment and a very strong economy. Deficit spending is a valuable tool used by most Presidents, especially during severe economic downturns and has traditionally helped the USA recover quickly. Note that DJT increased the National Debt dramatically even before COVID-19, and after telling his supporters he would reduce the National Debt while he was campaigning. Just one of thousands of lies that his faithful followers choose to ignore (for reasons I don’t understand).

    1. It’s not really not good for the communities and the World for letting criminals out of the leash quickly or not be able to keep them at all, so to speak.
