  1. And yet you won’t fight Alberta oil and continue to import Saudi oil, oh wait aluminum is located in Quebec! Lots of votes there!

    1. @Dave Ely Why didn’t harper do this when he was in for a decade they have deals with Saudis weapons for oil I’m guessing.

    1. Canada would pay nothing. The harm is less business for Can. Workers. American companies pay the extra money and pass the cost on to the consumer. Americans pay the tariff.

    2. The Tariffs are paid by the purchasers, in some cases depending on the product it can hurt the sales, but with certain resources it doesn’t and the cost is passed onto the consumers.

    3. YOU GET IT THEY DONT. CANADA AGREED TO REDUCE ITS STEEL AND ALUMINUM EXPORTS TO DO AWAY WITH THE TARIFFS. YOU WORK LIKE ME I IMAGINE, SO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS. BOTTOM LINE, LOST JOBS AND LOST PROFIT FOR CANADA, AGAIN. IF I WERE AN OLIGARCH, I WOULD HIM AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY PUBLICLY ASSASSINATED.

  2. Is Mary Ng willing to step down IF between now and the next federal election it is “found out” that concessions were made?

    1. @Mitch Holder If it’s not working for you, you might be hopeless or first nations. If you’re french or other European descent, you have nothing to complain about, they are the single group that has the MOST social supports in the country.

    1. The problem is our resources are 90% foreign owned, lumber is owned by the Americans in fact, when these jerks move too much of their product from Canadian warehouses to American warehouses, Canada gets in trouble for dumping. Unfortunately we’ll never hear the full story as to why these tariffs pop up or disappear so we have to keep an open mind.

    2. I thought the retaliation from Canada was on the steel tariffs not aluminium? So shouldn’t we enforce the tariffs anyway to fight back on the steel and lumber?

  3. Yeah, another “Canadian” official screwing up our trade deals w/ Trump, making threats, generally p/o-ing our largest trading partner. Funny how they never do that to China.

    1. @Michael Blackwood I’ve probably paid much more attention than you have. But please do fill me in on what I’m missing?
