  1. Fun fact: there’s a scene in The Right Stuff in which two government guys are in that pub where the test pilots hung out. There’s a fellow behind them, sweeping the floor. The government guys are discussing who would be chosen to become astronauts but Yeager – the very best of the test pilots – would not qualify because he never went to college. The guy sweeping up behind them is not an actor – that was the real Chuck Yeager.
    .
RIP General Yeager. You served your country well.

Poncho’s. Thank you – I read the book but it has been a few years. Couldn’t remember the name of that pub.

  2. Thank You Sir For Your Immense Assistance To PAF.
RIP Chuck Yeager The Most Popular/Respected American In Pakistan.

  3. Here’s Joe Scarborough raving on about actor Sam Shepard, when he should have been eulogizing Chuck Yeager, one of the greatest test pilots of our time.
R.I.P. and Godspeed Brig, General Chuck Yeager. “You do what you can for as long as you can, and when you finally can’t, you do the next best thing. You back up but you don’t give up.”

  4. Glamorous Glennis will never be able to fly with her favorite Pilot again, but that doesn’t mean she can’t chase after him beyond the clouds.
