‘Deep trouble’: Consultant during Trump’s impeachment gives his take on DOJ move

The Justice Department is asking a federal judge to force the top two lawyers from Donald Trump's White House counsel's office to testify about their conversations with the former President. This comes as the DOJ tries to break through the privilege firewall Trump has used to avoid scrutiny of his actions on January 6, 2021, according to three people familiar with the investigation.

  1. The other justices should do something about Clarence Thomas breaking the law if they do nothing they are just as guilty as Clarence Thomas

    1. 🎤drop……….to all of you who brilliantly replied to @Thomas the Paine…….LMAO….thx to @mugwump242, @James Jones, @Woody Guthrie, @sixbladeknife44, @Marvin Westmaas, @Joseph Allen Beltrami, @K T D.

And, Woodie Guthrie…I haven’t seen someone using ‘doofus’ in a very long time. 😆

  2. Doesn’t Clarence Thomas know the law? How can he just flout it with no recourse? What about the great system of checks and balances? 😂🇺🇸

  3. I don’t understand why it takes all these situations to take this man down…. people are put away in prison for life for far less than what Donald Trump does and is…..

    1. @DAN still accusing me of what you’re guilty of while the conversation is still there lol. You’re just simply not going to answer because you can’t. Admit it, coward.

    2. @WE THE PEOPLE 🙌 Errr. Can you read? I answered every single accusation in your question. With 4 more questions for you. Are you that illiterate?

    3. @WE THE PEOPLE 🙌 Let me copy my answer AGAIN for you. Since you are most likely dyslexic.

Here is my answer to your worthless question.

The REPUBLICON nominees in the midterms are FLOODED with election deniers who wholeheartedly peddled the orange clown’s LIES that he won 2020 in a LANDSLIDE with ZERO EVIDENCE! That is the policy position of RepubliCON midterm candidates. And yet YOU, a self proclaimed “educated” person, think the midterms have NOTHING to do with the clown???? Not EVEN candidates who were pushed and elevated and endorsed by the clown for his ignorant and worthless sheep followers, i.e. YOU and the lapdogs??? Puleeze.

Are you REALLY claiming that your orange clown master is COMPLETELY irrelevant to the midterm elections because he is so useless and no one in the swamp party cares what he has to say??? THIS is another question for you. ANSWER IT, “genius”!!!! Are you saying the clown is IRRELEVANT and has ZERO connection to the midterms?????

    4. @WE THE PEOPLE 🙌 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 DEFLECTION??? Please don’t use words you don’t understand. I answered EXACTLY as you asked. Your MASTER is TOTALLY RELEVANT to the midterms, where all his MINIONS in the RepubliCON Party are jumping over themselves to kowtow to their King. I even dictated to you what the exact connection is. Whereas you think Trump is totally worthless with ZERO influence on the midterms. I don’t know a RepubliCON defender more idiotic than thou for your embarrassing self-own. 🤣🤣🤣

A Trump defender who defends nothing is worth nothing.

    1. @most average athlete yup. 100% I will add that all the Founders of US really did was add rich non-nobility to voter pool. In UK at the time, they had voting, but for nobility only. All US did was add rich people to the list

  4. Great points made in this segment. Unfortunately it means nada. A nation can have the most sensible laws ever written but how is it relevant if those laws aren’t followed and there are no consequences when those laws are broken? The Supreme Court has no oversight so Thomas can wipe his behind with the law and do what he wants, which is what he just did regardless of the fact that he’s clearly compromised in part due to his psycho wife. It’s times like these when it feels like the nation’s collapse is inevitable and justified when corruption is the only currency being used at the table.

    1. That’s what gets me. The laws are remarkably common sense, brief and leave little to interpretation, but here we are.

    2. Reminder : Judge Thomas cannot and will not wipe his behind on his own. He needs to have assistance from his wife Ginny Thomas to do so.

    1. And don’t forget the Saudis. Bush and Chancellor Cheney made sure the nearly 40 Bin Ladin family members were allowed to fly out of U$A on 9-12 and 13 without the FBI or any law enforcement being allowed an interview before they all fled back to Saudi Arabia on private jets while the rest of the world was grounded in and out of U$A.

    2. @Biden is Garbage Yea just like Orange Face did with LOOSING the 2020 election. lol lol Chief whinner… boo hoo I’m gonna sue lol What a snowflake.

  5. If jtc favors Graham in final ruling, then I will be outraged. Doubt that will happen. The subpoena is valid, lawful. If he doesn’t respond, then why is he a public official? Just respond, under oath. If you did something wrong, plea fifth. Very simple. To fight against responding in any way seems like he’s hiding from Justice.

  6. There must be someone who can remove Clarence Thomas if he doesn’t go willingly?🤬🤬He is obviously not fit for this serious job.

  7. When the highest court in the land has a conspirator on board who helps cover up his wife’s treasonous actions using the powers of his office, how do you remedy that?

  8. SO WHEN IS THE DOJ GOING TO ANNOUNCE IT’S INVESTIGATION OF THE SUPREME COURT? Seriously…at this point I believe Chief Roberts needs to be answering questions

    1. lnteresting question. ls the SC answerable to anyone but its majority? Clearly the Court in its present makeup and configuration is corrupt, but what is the remedy? Obviously both questions are rhetorical……until they’re not.

    2. Because the “separation of powers” is a key element to the American system of politics, and is covered by the constitution. All branches serve as a check and balance on each other, if they start to “investigate” each other over partisan spats you can kiss the USA goodbye. Maybe that’s what you want?

    3. @wreckin ball It’s the chaos that the right wants, the destruction of norms, the weakening of our institutions.
Holding our public servants accountable for breaking the law, even in the face of political abuse of power, is essential to keeping our Democracy.

    4. @Lea Garner “it’s the chaos that the right wants”. Unfortunately the right says the exact same about the left. And it would appear as though the facts back that up more than your assertion.

  9. It was miraculous. It was almost no trick at all, he saw, to turn vice into virtue and slander into truth, impotence into abstinence, arrogance into humility, plunder into philanthropy, thievery into honor, blasphemy into wisdom, brutality into patriotism, and sadism into justice. Anybody could do it; it required no brains at all. It merely required no character.”
    ― Joseph Heller, Catch-22

    1. @Biden is Garbage Quit crying, you’re embarrassing yourself. You’re guy isn’t above the law and no amount of fake outrage about Biden is going to change that.

    2. @Lea Garner fake outrage?? Half the country or more is outrage at joementia for getting us in this mess 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣🤣

    3. @Biden is Garbage What does you’re guy want to do.. tank the economy and turn us against each other so he can say “only I can fix it”.
We like Biden. He’s honest, intelligent, hardworking. I can’t believe that you think a new York failed real estate investor with two failed marriages, two impeachments, 7 bankruptcies, and 13 colleagues in jail, is a better choice.

    4. @Biden is Garbage What if we decided that DT is bad enough we conspire to pull a coup and violently attack Congress? You okay with that? Seems like you are.

  10. He does know it. Thats why he ruled in nancy boy’s favor, inviting legal challenges just to show he does not care what the law says and his arrogance basically stating “i am a supreme court justice and no law applies to me, and there is nothing you can do about it!”

  11. The word “shall” means absolutely nothing if the Justice refuses to abide by that Constitutional mandate AND no system exists through which it can be enforced. We can all now see why such a system, which enforces ethical restraints on other judges and members of the Bar, MUST be created for the S. Ct. The Code of Judicial Conduct does not apply to the S. Ct. That allows the Justices to act with impunity in ALL instances and puts them above the law. That situation should never exist.

    1. Exactly right. But Tomas is far from the only problem on the SC. Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Alito all lied in their confirmation hearings and should be subject to recall and dismissal for perjury in such confirmation hearings.

    2. Actually, there are good reasons why the SC justices never had restraints placed upon them. This freedom to act, in theory and as a matter of historical fact, ensures the justices will have the latitude to do their job in accordance with the law and free of outside interference from malign actors and the other branches of government. However — and this is a _huge_ caveat — this presupposes that the justices are people of honesty and good character with a solid understanding of their responsibilities and the boundaries of their authority. The assumption was that outright crooks and cheats would never ascend to the highest judicial bench in the land. Woe is us.

  12. Painful to watch criminals like Thomas and DJT still not being held accountable, but our justice system has been effective over the longer term for 200+ years. We’ll get ’em.

    1. Sadly I can’t agree. Treacherous, absolutely traitorous repubs are well positioned to take the USA full fascist. The repubs stand for precisely nothing except grabbing power, lining the wealthy folks wallets, and “owning the libs”. They have no plan to tackle inflation, they never had a plan regarding health insurance (except to kill “Obama care”), could not care less about the less fortunate, laugh at the huge danger of climate change, and have clearly shown themselves to be grossly dishonest, and outright enemies of our democratic republic. They’ll undo this country without a second thought as long as they have power. Clear as day. They are setting up to install themselves in power forever. Basically any election they don’t win, repub state legislators will undo those results. Effectively elections will be a for show, farce, if repubs even bother for such a show. Things are going to get really ugly. Pretty sure there are a few loyal Americans that won’t be just standing around taking it…

    2. @KGS I would think that once the indictments get started, things should move rather quickly. Once DJT is placed under Oath, the decades-long web of lies should collapse. Some believe indictments by early January.

    3. @Jeff V “From your lips to God’s ears” as one of my favorite sayings goes, meaning I hope your right. Also, my mother had a funny, and ironic saying, “The sooner the quicker”. It was meant to be funny, but in a situation like this I think it’s relevant.

    4. painful to watch people like you continue to support Fascists like Biden. TOTALLY BRAINWASHED. KEEP DRINKING THE COOLAID.

    1. It’s not comforting to me to hear Prof Tribe expose judicial wrongdoing and corruption, I find it quite depressing. But I agree he is the best at showing how the law is being disregarded by the very people who should know better.

    2. @Michele Z it’s definitely very concerning that we have the level of judicial misconduct that we have…
But let’s not shoot the messenger, he is just helping us understand how twisted the situation is

  13. Clarence Thomas’ recusal on every one of these cases isn’t even a question; Chief Justice Roberts, where ARE you?
