@David Turner the fact that he sits in a classroom with 40 other kids and every time there is a cold, half the class gets it, and while Covid-19 isn’t the common cold, it’s just about as contagious. Kids acting responsibly and wearing masks for an entire school day also seems unattainable, but that’s just someone who went to public school and had kids in public school. There are adverse effects from catching Covid for kids, but being asymptomatic and bringing it home to the family will just reach the disease further into our homes and keep it looking for the people it will kill. Can we keep classes to 10 or less? Can we keep them all 6 ft. apart? We don’t have the classrooms or teachers. I am not saying every city is under the same duress at the moment, but any place it is spiking, I definitely wouldn’t send kids back to school.
