Endangered tiger gives birth to three cubs at Toronto Zoo

Mazyria, an endangered Amur tiger, gave birth on April 30 after 104 days of pregnancy.

  1. I don’t believe in using these animals for public entertainment, but if they can eventually see a natural home, I’m on board. Is that the eventual goal?

    1. Sadly zoos see them as money making machines, especially the Cubs. They never have plans to rehabilitate them

    2. @whushaw the problem is, to where? Their natural habitats have either been destroyed, or are ungoverned.

    3. Better that they be for public entertainment so long as they are being treated humanely than being in the wild and subject to poachers. We are well beyond having endangered species only in the wild.
