    1. It seems like nobody’s active on this or cares anymore but this is been going on about 50 years with that house many people have moved in and out they’re not telling you that part. I followed this before.

  1. Doesn’t matter. Scary letters are too many words. Scary stuff nonetheless. A good outcome though. The family members are well and moving forward. Beautiful place …otherwise. Those soft natural…greens are stunning and calming colors, normally. Yup.

    1. The family took a huge loss of $400,000 on the property when they finally sold it in 2019, so maybe not such a good outcome.

  2. I was in a bidding war with another woman for a house, I won and close in 3 days, this is literally my worst nightmare right now because the other potential buyer is…unpleasant. She fired 2 of her own realtors accusing them of working for me behind her back and wanted me investigated by the police because I’m paying cash and she says only drug dealers and prostitutes do that. I’m neither, just saying. Makes matters worse is apparently she did the similar to the current seller when he bought the house the last time is was on the market. Already had security systems put in place, in case she gets squirrelly.

    1. @Rossi Grace Agreed Grace!!
I am sorry you are having to go through this. There are lots of crazy people in the world.

Formal complaints don’t work. I did it against my next door neighbor that was harassing me, stalking my kids & trespassing my property. Then he & his wife enrolled me & my family into a “Community Stalking Campaign” as if we were criminals. 18yrs later they are still doing it.

  3. Domestic terrorism comes in many forms, but the *moral depravity* of the bully never changes. Terrorize one family or terrorize an entire country, it all comes from the same sewer-crawling impulse to threaten others for a sense of power.

  4. Wow… What a remarkable known story. How the heck did anyone spin a miniseries out of three random letters over a number of years? I’m not going to be watching the watcher to find out

    1. Have you ever heard of a prompt? Like you know, a couple lines, paragraph at most and you write a story from it? Did you attend school in the states… did you pass your EOG English tests? 😅 Yeah, this full story, which includes a few letters, is more than enough to write about… 😂

    3. @Minolta Araya IKR? Some people possess the imagination of a rock. Even a full story would not spark any images in their head. Asking a question that reflects blatant lack of imagination and creativity.

  5. I remember this story. I was under the impression that the owners received more than three letters! Also the guy said the house was embroiled in controversy. Very disappointed that Smerconish didn’t ask what the controversy was!!!
    Just saying…..

    1. The controversy was that this has been going on for a very long time like 50 years supposedly this house has never had peace. Everyone who’s moved into it has gotten these letters that’s what they’re leaving out in this piece.

  6. Just watched the movie, wasn’t bad, Movie made it look like the cops could have cared less and the real estate agent was a real weirdo.

  7. The person who sent the letters could have been an old lady who was a bit nutty. Maybe she eventually dropped dead.

  8. Police should have presumed that a former owner who lost the property in a foreclosure and then lost his mind sent the letters and proceeded from there. Is there any other reason to go insane over a property? nope.

  9. I get creepy letters. Most of them say, “Vote for me.” The remaining ones are trying to sell me some crap I have no interest in.

  10. This usually happens because somebody WANTS the house but cannot afford it. They think if it stays vacant long enough, the price will drastically decline.

  11. You know honestly this would be perfect for a movie but I’m sorry that these people are going through this🤔

  12. Temporary schizophrenia. When I was a kid the woman who live near us used to be a very friendly housewife who like to keep the house in good order she liked cooking. Every year like clockwork in the wintertime she would become aggressive and believe that people on the television were talking about her. Her husband was used to these yearly episodes so he would lock her in the house when he went to work. But she used to write threatening letters to people and post them out of the letterbox for the postman to collect. And then she would go back to normal after a couple of months until another year. The police used to know about the episodes yearly so she was never arrested for any crime 🤔

  13. Well sometimes that’s true but there’s actually a lot of laws now where you have to disclose everything. I’ve been in the business of selling homes and I’m not a realtor I sell homes that I have. Realtors have to divulge a lot or they can get in a lot of trouble especially in California.

  14. I’ve have a similar ongoing experience from the moment I moved into my house. But instead of letters, they were keeping track of our schedules, locations & and stalking my family. The Predator was always my next door neighbor.
