  1. he’s been living through hell while risking his own life. my advice: don’t go back home, you might infect your family.

    1. A lot of hotels must be empty right now. I don’t understand why the government doesn’t book them and let’s medical and EMS staff who work in the front line stay there so they won’t have to go home and risk the health of their families in top of their own….

  2. I’m sure this man has seen it all in his career, the fact that this situation brought him to tears speaks volumes.

    1. @kyle grant For making flippant comments about this pandemic….here are a few facts for you to digest. Feb 21st Italy had it’s first Death from this virus. Just over 5 weeks later the death toll stands at 11,591 with Spain now at 7,300+. Please do not doubt the danger of this virus. On top of the deaths themselves, the fact that families cannot be with their loved ones as they are ill and dying and when they die, they cannot have a wake or funeral Service/Mass as such, no friends or neighbours able to sympathise compounds an already traumatising event for families.
The economy is taking and will take a bigger hit but economies can bounce back. The Dead won’t. Stay safe everyone.

    2. @J f Italy does not have the ICU capacity we have. We have 34.7 ICU beds per 100k population they only have 12.5. Plus we have a vast military to setup hospitals in a few days with hospital ships. Stanford came out with a study estimating there are 10-50X more cases than confirmed so the are saying the mortality rate is much lower than 3.4% being reported by the WHO. They said it will fall somewhere around 0.1%

    3. @mct _
So, you are Russian and admit being a troll who meddles in other nation’s elections and are trying to justify it using propaganda. What was with building a wall around East Germany anyway? Seperating families is wrong and Russians jnow it.
And do you admit Ukraine is it’s own ciuntry, not the USSR. Speaking of USSR, only ome country wanted to be part of the soviet union and it was Russia. Russia forced itself on all of eastern Europe. So when you say America forces it’s ideology on others, you’re projecting your countries actions on the US.

  3. Heartbreaking! These are the people that put their lives for the sake of helping others survive. The ultimate sacrifice!

    1. Everyone please continue to believe the tell-lie-vision at all times. Just get rid of your brain and let the media like cnn think and live your life for you.

    2. @Cool Beans wow the orange one has trained you well. Heres an idea try not watching fox news and look around the world. Look at spain italy china france india etc. Its all locked down

    1. Me three. They got me thinking of trying to help them. But, I have zero experience. However, there might be something that we can do. I am a coward, I am afraid of getting it, but, with the proper equipment, I might dare to challenge the virus and become a volunteer. Right now, I have time in my hands while hunkering down. I should go out and help in my spare time.

  4. The government should take care of anyone who’s out there risking their life to save others FOR LIFE..no questions asked..

    1. The federal government is missing in action. There is no president to coordinate. The clown is unfit to be an apprentice of a president.

    1. @Tingle Matthews this is where i’m calling bullshit. You keep saying supplies, when even from the video you posted he specifically talks about ventilators, yet you’re trying to project the idea that he’s stockpiling supplies. Provide evidence that that is what he’s doing, not safeguarding ventilators until they’re needed. Again show evidence that he’s stock piling supplies.

    2. @Peoples Republic of Ninj ….. Ventilator is a supply, sweetheart. He said he is holding the ventilators in a “stockpile”. Later he mentions 140,000 beds too. You tell me, what other supplies he is hoarding in his “stockpile” that he is saving for the “apex”.

    3. @Tingle Matthews your use of deception to besmirch Cuomo is a little too obvious. You claim he was stockpiling supplies, youvpuldnt provide proof of that so you resort to semantics (weak), you then claim he’s stockpiling beds (utter stupidity), when in the video he’s speculating about the number of beds he may or may not need. You want to spread misinformation, you need to be a better liar and try not to use reputable news sources.

    4. @Peoples Republic of Ninj …. Trying so hard parsing every word, huh? Must be very painful. Is your head hurting? Cuomo used the word “stockpile”. Use your real brain. Not the parsing partisan brain. Unless someone is paying you to do this hard work. Then be my guest. By the way, great job “discovering” that I am speaking badly of Cuomo. No one knew I was doing that.

  5. Paramedics and EMS services that are not part of a fire dept need to be made “essential services” just like police and FD.

    1. FDNY EMS is the whole 911 EMS system and hospitals can put out their own units to participate and help out FDNY EMS. Hospital EMS in the 911 system make more money than FDNY EMS they are essential and they are also on the frontlines.

    2. @Big Mood Hey guys. My main reference is towards rural paramedics and EMS services. These rural operations are nor considered essential.

  6. Lieutenant Almojera (and everyone like him) still comfort us, even as we practice social distancing. Our world will be sadder forever more.

Also… for all of the ugliness COVID19 has brought … perhaps EMS will come out “better.” 12 sick days for our EMS workers, and 3 years of benefits for survivors??? This has to be corrected!

  7. Sooo sad for people who save lives don’t get nothing but the one who kills get everything 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💥🗯️💥💥 stand up people

  8. I do not live in NYC but I want to thank the entire EMS for their service. Such dedication proves they are heroes. Thank you!

    1. Nicki Snyder I’m sorry but the belief in prayer instead of science is what has put your country behind the eight ball. My Dad was 42 yrs on a fire dept and my mom was a nurse. My oldest son is a first responder and fire fighter. I am a dressmaker for people who are crippled by ilness and crippling conditions. I make house calls to most of my clients and provide a lot more than just sewing which now I can’t do and this has left many of those folks alone. Our family runs into trouble when other people run away. But here in Canada we have a real health system and religion does not cloud and colour all our decisions. You folks still have crazy religious nuts attending Mega-churches during a pandemic nor crazy politicians making decisions for our population based on either greed or religious zeal.

    2. America is screwed. Thank you Donald Trump.

  9. Go and ask bank CEOs for help. They’re make so much. Must me important job. Real heroes stepping up. 👏👏👏👏👏

    1. The ones who make it through this are gonna have to have forced paid mental leave/ counseling. My husband’s been fireman/ medic for twenty plus years. Most are like cops, they push through stuff without considering themselves. That’s why they have high suicide rates.

  10. Nyc ems in a whole with fdny ems is being affected all our members are getting sick due to lack of protective equipment

    1. I would say over half the people are ignoring social distancing and going about things as if it were a flu.. especially the younger generation. They are ignorant and uneducated… More than likely those will be the people that survived and don’t get harmed

  11. The medical staff should be able to stay in these hotels and motels while this is going on so they don’t infect their families.

    1. Agree….hospital workers going home to their families is only making this worse by trying to help…. That must be a real shitty feeling to go home every night with that on your

    2. De Blasio , weeks ago ; ” Go to the movies or your racist ”
De Blasio ,now ; the president !

  12. How come we are not hearing about the first teenager died from Coronavirus who were refused of getting a treatment because he didn’t have a insurance???
