Fire at Cairo Coptic church kills 41, including 10 children

A fire ripped through a packed Coptic Orthodox church during morning services in Egypt's capital on Sunday, quickly filling it with thick black smoke and killing 41 worshippers, including at least 10 children.

  1. Electrical fault…..?
    Don’t believe this. Why hasn’t the Egyptian government insured it was safe for the Coptic children? Or given them access to another building that was safe!. I’m Coptic and this is another sign of injustice..

    1. It is true, it is a Coptic Church providing a child care services to the poor during the day while parents worked, the government is not support, it is supported by local funds.

    2. Actually… when, yes! If it is an innocent child that does not know better, then yes but that is the only exception!

    1. @Dangerous Gambit Why, did you miss the pictures of the wall of air conditioners and exposed wires? Electrical fires happen even to Churches.
