  1. Watching these politicians with no other agenda than to attack minorities and keep them from voting them out of office. WHY does a legislative body have any kind of immediate control over their own re-election? How can that be considered legitimate?

    1. @Nameless Progressive Clone Florida national guard??? NATIONAL??? So you think Florida is a country now?

    2. @Bat Boy parties shouldn’t exist at all. Dumb people can’t tell a party from a football team…

    3. @Terry Fulds
      Sovereign State.
All 50 Sovereign States have a national guard.

  2. The voting laws that were already on the books were put there by Republicans.
    And they STILL lost.
What are they going to do when they lose again — change the laws AGAIN?
If the American people wanted Republicans in office, they wouldn’t have to keep changing the voting laws.

    1. If the American people didn’t want Republicans in office, Republicans wouldn’t be dominating down-ticket races across the country.

The people writing the laws are the people America elected to write laws.

    2. @Didmoore the Undone New elections laws.. Hmm So 2016, Why was there not people inline for 8 hrs? Nowhere near the number then did mail in ballots. What LAWS did Georgia change that will make people stand in line for 8hrs?

    3. @Mitch If you have a bad internet in your trailer wait until there is a good connection. Now go back reread that stuff, the english part, and tell me where your special needs was showing.

    4. @Nick Lawson Well, as i said, when you know people in many different states and cities and NO ONE ever stood in line that long, kinda go with those stats. Like those stats Fake New uses when they want people to think that a certain amount agrees or disagrees. Like I heard, 54% of Americans want DC to be a state. hahaha

    1. @David Goldman If its in the public’s interest to know then it is protected by the Freedom of the Press. Given how these are laws that will impact a large number of people it is in the public’s interest to know this and be reported on truthfully.

    2. @David Goldman “In Branzburg v. Hayes, 408 U.S. 665 (1972), the Supreme Court ruled that freedom of press did not create a constitutional privilege protecting reporters from having to testify in grand jury proceedings about the identity of news sources or information received in confidence.”
This has nothing to do with freedom of press, in this matter. They aren’t allowed to see the signing and ask questions to a representative of Florida while one organisation has all the rights. Isn’t that a little bit weird ? Ask yourself the question why was there no other press allowed ? Is he scared of difficult questions ? An exclusive contract with FOX ? Does he only wants to answer nice question’s ?
If it’s a good bill, he should shout it out from the roof tops, and there wouldn’t be law suits to get rid of it.

    3. @David Goldman uhhh, maybe YOU should read up on that trial. That was about the press refusing to testify in court and naming sources because of “press privilege”. That has literally zero to due with Desantis blocking the press from access.

    4. @thegags he read the name of the case on some RWNJ blog and didn’t bother to research it for himself.

      common mistake by his ilk.

    5. @David Goldman I don’t hear a learned retort, Dave, or an admission that you completely got that around your sweet little neck.
Come back and tell us how you are right or eat some humble pie.

  3. I hope this all backfires in spectacular fashion on the GOP in future elections. As Lindsey Graham wrote, “If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed … and we will deserve it.”

    1. @Easy Breeze Omg..like Hoover/FBI chief of long ago!??
Now…I get it. Why they couldn’t line up behind the crazy fast enough!

    1. DeSantis is currently the most likely person to win the White House. That’s why the Democrat Media Machine is fully engaged in creating BS hit pieces.

    2. @Nameless Progressive Clone
So did you say he was shooting himself in the foot , and shrinking his little base , because that would help him get elected ?
Dang and I thought we only had to wait 12 years for the Republicans to get their crap back together.
We seriously need that party , it’s bad enough that we don’t have three choices.

  4. What’s odd (or hypocritical) is that last year, he bragged about how Florida can now be the role model for other states regarding voting. Fast-forward to now—if Florida did so great, why does he need to sign this bill? That man is such a putz.

    1. @fred smith Well you tried to sound like you knew what you were saying. 6 Seats in the house was gained and we “lost” 2 in the Senate. Also, if you took time to research or even watch video’s showing how it was done, you would know. Maybe look up how many votes were counted for POTUS but not a single vote down the ballot. Yeah, that’s legit. When you put ballots like that in, like in GA when it was suppose to be no more counting, that is how it happens.

    2. @jeck jeck And yet you can’t refute anything I said with a fact so you must be a special needs short bus riding person.

    3. @Wisconsin Man because what you said is just idiotically childish. you might as well be asking me to state a fact to refute that the sky is green…. just look up…

    1. @Brent Foster The Lies the Dem and Media has spewed on the GA voting laws and people like you go..DUH.. Yeah, thats racist. LIE after LIE from media and Dems. Wake up for God sake.

    2. @Wisconsin Man Right, but you guys lost the White House and your majority in the Senate. But, we’re the “sore losers”…

    3. @Noreb The good Ol’ comeback from trained seals when they have no FACTS to come back with.

    4. @Wisconsin Man when you can present something besides debunked propaganda, you can join the big boys conversation.

    1. You guys called Scott many racist names. Shame. We all know who the real racists are.

  5. He signed on Fox only, because only the richer retirees would watch as he screwed everyone over.

    1. Wait that brings up a point, most folks that watch fox news in florida are seniors that depend on vote by mail. Did desantis or Anyone in the rep party realize they just showcased how they limited/restricted their one main way of voting to their main base?

    2. @Sonja Vargas what’s funny is fox viewers know its entertainment but MSM idiots think they dont.

    3. @RichW, Then those people have a legitimate reason to vote by mail and that is acceptable to the Republicans. You don’t have to make this into something it’s not.

    4. @Sonja VargasWell, do you think they would talk on CNN or other news media outlets that bash people who don’t like Biden’s policies? As for talking nonsense, lying, spreading fear or whatever, CNN is guilty of that every single day.

  6. DeSatan: We had the safest, most transparent election of all states! We’re a role model for everyone!
DeSatan: That is why we must make voting more difficult so that less people get to cast their vote. Oh, did I say the silent part out loud?

    1. Will he become the next authoritarian leader since Trump failed …will he get it right and the Republicans will reign forever? Just put in the Republican with no problem bending the law to favor their party..

  7. Older, conservatives voters will continue to want to vote by mail, while younger voters mostly voted by mail last time because of the pandemic. So he’s shot himself in the foot by making mail in voting more difficult.

  8. If ppl wonder why the country can’t or won’t move forward these politicians are the reason just to keep and hold power

    1. Yeah we kind of knew that they wanted to keep an old power (oops put that h back). But the Republicans before them tended to do that by being someone who you would want to hire for the job.
This is some kind of strange way to anger everyone , so they will vote for them ?
Not quite sure how that works , or how many times they will demonstrate that is not the way to do it. You can get the flies to go to your honey , or you can be the Lord of the Flies 🤥

  9. So if people co-ordinate to get through voting as quickly and efficiently as possible and these people still loose, will they try adding more restrictive laws or just outright reject the outcome? Because these people have GOT TO GO.

  10. So in other words, the federal GOP has allowed Florida to become their own country. They are clearly not following the Constitution as it is written.

    1. Yes they are — the Constitution says that each state is to make their own election laws — although ; only by state legislature vote — not orders by governors or Attorneys General

  11. I’ll bring my own water and food, no problem better have the brown shirts out Ronny …. many people have died to give me that right devils like this will not stop people this just make people go harder…

  12. These people need to remember who they WORK for !! They are OUR EMPLOYEES. Not the other way around.

  13. Five books everyone should read:
