Sanna B From what I understand you can not “cure” a virus and they mutate. That being said as more people survive the virus, the less it will affect. The Covid-19 vaccination, once developed will be similar to the influenza vaccine where it may not stop you from getting the virus, but it will provide enough immunity to lesson the impact of the virus.

Global warming will depend on how much we use our resources responsibly and how much emissions that the Governments around the world allow their large companies to emit. Stronger and lower emission levels and less driving unnecessary or using public transit all helps.

It is hard to get respect from media when the President constantly treats them disrespectfully when he doesn’t like a question, or call all their stories “fake news”. A lot of news are being now published throughout the world about the infection, but there is nothing to help the people for facing the hard situation, concerning the diet and foods as well as all pratices they should do for they can fight the disease.
Why he wanted 40,000 ventilators from Trump`?
Joe because you always prepare for the worst case scenario.
The original models showed more cases because they were not sure if mitigation was going to work or be practiced. People stayed in and the estimate of cases went down. Actually data started to be used in the models and we got a better number of how many are infected. Also people shared ventilators which was a plan B action while waiting for more ventilators. Then as weeks passed less people got infected. It was a scramble for ventilators a month ago when we were still hitting the Apex. 51 days is how long NY has had cases. We are on the other side of the Apex now. Oregon gave us ventilators weeks ago which helped. Trumps stock pile could never have fulfilled that quota because they only have 10,000 in stockpile for the whole nation.

Capitalism works when private companies are well run. When private companies are well run, good safety records for example, they succeed. If they are badly run, they fail and that’s capitalism at work! Boeing has had two crashes recently, killing nearly 1,000 people. It is a private, poorly run company, with a lousy safety record, high compensation for the CEO, while workers are not well compensated and don’t have outstanding health benefits. There are many well run airlines. Boeing is not one of them. Let the competition succeed (healthy capitalism). Let Boeing die (healthy capitalism). No need to spend billions bailing out a badly run, unsafe, airline company. No need to bail out fast food, including but not limited to Wendys, McDonalds, Burger King, Popeyes that has helped cause health problems in poor populations who live in food deserts. Federal government should give the states that $$ instead of badly run private businesses. YES to Hazard pay for workers. Good idea! Is the Governor proposing an increase of 50% of their annual pay? He stated 50% raise but 50% of what? New York state does need money from the Federal government. We also need to tax the 112 billionaires that have reside here, including Bezos who owns three triplexes in NYC and pays zero in state/Federal taxes. Please speak about the age of the black population in New York. Many younger blacks have been forced out of NY (gentrification) and the black population in NYC in particular is older. Covid in Italy affected the older population, 75 and up and within the black community in NYC, there are many older people, which is one reason they are dying. what is the average age of the blacks who are dying? Also, please address the blood connection of Covid disease. One theory regarding the blood aspect of this disease is that people of certain blood types may be more prone to getting the virus and succumbing to it.
