Stitt signed House Bill 4327 that allows private citizens to sue anyone who "aids or abets" a woman seeking an abortion at any point in her pregnancy. The woman pursuing the procedure could not be sued.

In a statement, Stitt said he was proud to sign the legislation.

"From the moment life begins at conception is when we have a responsibility as human beings to do everything we can to protect that baby’s life and the life of the mother," Stitt said.

  4. As a senior Illinois woman, Oklahoma is my first choice to move to. I know if Oklahoma protect the unborn that can not defend his or her’s life. Then most likely, I will have better odds in Oklahoma of being protected, as I age.

    1. @L.Fenton who told you it’s not murder if he/she is unborn? That is the truly absurd statement. It’s living, feeding and growing, it’s alive! You can pull out fancy words to comfort yourself but at the end of the day it’s murder. Not all abortion is the same, but if you choose it because you were irresponsible then you should be imprisoned for the rest of your life. It’s very easy to not get pregnant I have no sympathy

  7. Absolutely a good idea! We gotta make up for the kids that’s being dying from mass shooting somewhere, am I right? If we can’t keep them alive, just have more of them, quantity over quality!

  8. Democracy in action. Power is kept as close to the people as possible and state to state diversity is honored. Good job Oklahoma! We can all mind our own business and concentrate on our own state’s law.
