An emergency immigration restriction that allowed easier expulsion of migrants at the southern border has ended after more than three years, likely accelerating a surge of asylum-seekers that had already begun in anticipation of the change.

The controversial Title 42 program had been tied to the federal public health emergency for COVID-19. That also expired at the end of May 11.

  1. The end of Title 42 means that Joe’s work to turn America into a third world country gets a boost.

    1. That’s been going on here for years and many work for the government or even your neighbor 😢

  2. All the people who said that the pandemic ended years ago, that the disease wasn’t that bad, or that it didn’t even exist are now furious that a pandemic law is no longer in effect. I wish I could say that I was surprised.

  3. All sounds good, but according to things I’ve read lately, it will be the end of USA. We will be overwhelmed to the place of starvation, not to mention the pestilence brought into the country that we are not immune to.

    1. Oh that’s right, the completed wall would keep them away.
Mean time El Chapo was under our feet.

    2. @Paulina Garcia That’s all that matters to humans in general. Trump isn’t some anomaly. 😂

  4. I know several of these illegal immigrants who crossed the border from Mexico to seek asylum here in US. All of them I know work difficult jobs without any social benefits that ordinary Americans wouldn’t take. They pay their bills and love this country and are grateful for being here. To those who oppose their presence here, please have some compassion, 99.9% are good people.

    1. I don’t have a problem with people who are improving their lives. I believe that this is artificially increased to the point of the U.S. not being able to keep up with the influx of migrants. Just doesn’t seem possible that we have had this much of an increase naturally.
Why and who wants this are questions I would like an answer to.

    2. Well Mr. Man. Because of your compassion many Americans are and will suffer more. Homelessness is a major problem for Americans. Now you can have as many border jumpers home with you.. you go Bruh!! I hope you know Spanish because most refuse to learn English. These people get treated better than Native Americans who are trapped and barely making it.

    3. @Abdul Rehman, I will believe it when the Middle East (or wherever you are originally from) will open their borders and start accepting these 99.9% good people so that their countries would reap the benefits. After all they are working, paying bills & furthering the economy… Right?!?!?!?!
Why not every country does the same thing !!! It’s beneficial!?!?!??!

  5. Most are all good people! The problem is,don’t blame the people crossing the border,if any one of us were in their shoes,we would do the same thing! Our government is letting them in,instead of having quotas!I do not understand why they are doing this!

  6. Everyone look under your chairs! You get a migrant! And you get a migrant! Everyone gets migrants!!

  7. What it really means: increase in crime, increase in homelessness and an increase in taxes. Don’t forget the classic getting rear ended by an uninsured vehicle. Of course we still have to pay taxes.

    1. Small of parts of border will always not a wall due to past presidents signing treaties with native Americans so that we don’t mess with their land. Those places are also secured with border force. The natives overall don’t wall on their land. It doesn’t matter who is president. I highly doubt you can convince native Americans to give up their land.

  8. What’s going on here is we are replacing Cows 🐄 with these🇲🇽. I just hope they don’t lose a lot of fat on their journey here . I have eaten them before, and they have given me the shits. They taste like chicken, but a little spicy 🥵 I am not sure on how you clean them. If anyone has any good recipes. Feel free to share them.
