Police said two officers were shot and several people were killed, including the shooter in a mass shooting in Farmington, New Mexico.

Three people were killed, including a suspect police described as an active shooter, after an incident Monday in Farmington, New Mexico. Police said there were multiple civilian victims, two police officers wounded, and several schools throughout the community were put in lockdown.

"The details we have are that multiple officers from the Farmington Police Department were involved in an officer-involved shooting," police said in a Facebook post. "One suspect was confronted and killed on scene."
