‘Maximum Pressure’: NY Prosecutors Work To Flip Trump Money Man

New York prosecutors subpoenaed records from a Manhattan private school seeking information about tuition payments that Trump made on behalf of his key money man, the Trump Organization’s CFO Allen Weisselberg. Prosecutors are examining whether the Weisselbergs evaded taxes on the payments. MSNBC’s Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber is joined by former SDNY prosecutor Danya Perry and former U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance to explain what this means for Trump. (This interview is from MSNBC’s “The Beat with Ari Melber, a news show covering politics, law and culture airing nightly at 6pm ET on MSNBC. ).

    1. @Doug Robinson So right?? lmao what planet are you living in? 😂So basically what if something thats never happened before happens? yes so right!!

    2. @Mack Jr Bell Totally agree, but i still cant understand why however. He proved himself unfit for office time and time again.

    3. @M VB ”Well if Biden would just throw Trump and his whole family in prison, no trial needed”.” Next step would be to declare the republican party a terrorist organization”
Dear god, that just ignores the entire rule of law and the democratic process. That would be tyranny.

    4. @Tessmage Tessera ”the Republican party is ripping itself to pieces”. Posturing at the moment. But if and when it happens, i’ll pop champagne!

    1. @RJ H Irrelevant? Not hardly. He is still very much the mobilizing power of cultists, child traffickers and fascists – The GOP.

  1. “Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.”

    – Eric Trump, 2014

    1. @sclogse1 Yes. The head of the Russian Mafia lived in Trump Tower and ran gambling and prostitution out of the apartment. I think his name was Ivanov or Ivankov.

  2. Wouldn’t it be great if trump was actually held accountable for obvious tax fraud? I don’t like Michael Cohen, but he laid out in very clear detail what amounts to tax fraud….

    1. @Hyperpandas I don’t think you’re even worth the time it will take me to write this, but it has been alleged, by trumps former personal lawyer who helped facilitate the tax fraud, and the SDNY is currently investigating this…try to keep up kiddo…

    2. @Hyperpandas My bad, I thought that was a response focused at me, my apologies, and you’re absolutely correct, carry on

    3. Cohen’s book was illuminating. It won’t win any writing awards, but it is an important expose. (include the accent)

    4. Fat donnie signed a check from rep. Champain money for stormey. Doesnt anyone remember that. If he is so rich wouldnt you think he has cash to pay off pronlems that arise.

    1. Eric Trump has no brain…..by the time he came along there were no more brain cells to give him!

  3. So a classic situation of “birds of a feather flock together..until one of those birds gets a guilty plea”.

    1. We are all sick of hearing about Chump and his criminal cronies. Get on with indicting and prosecuting them.

  4. Trump: *I want To See Biden In Prison*
Biden: *why does trump think I would visit him in prison* ?

  5. C’mon New York. Anything no matter how small. A year would make me happy. See? We’re easy to please.

    1. @Enchanted Homeschool Let’s be honest. Trump won’t spend a second in prison

    2. What sad, pathetic lives you live. To feed on the daily propaganda of the fake news. What imbeciles….

    3. @BidenHarris: MAD Magazine’s Person Of The Year let me say this again, if Ivanka isn’t my daughter I’d like to date her

    4. I hear Florida is making contingency plans if trumps gets indicted. Why would they do that if they didn’t think it could happen.. F trump… He is as crooked as they come.

  6. That red headed son is so repulsive. Please dear God don’t let me have to see him again without warning.

    1. @Marco Polo If you meant that, take a good look at Guiliani’s dentures and his son’s presumable teeth and reinforce it. If not, remember your presumable hero there called Ted Cruz’s wife ugly. Comment sections aren’t for the sensitive of heart, hon.

    2. @Marco Polo They choose to put themselves out in the public, give their opinions, run for office because – well – its their entitlement – puts them in the category of ‘game on’ in my mind.

  7. If this bunch doesn’t end up in prison they should open the gates and let all non violent offenders out.

    1. @Miguel Torress keyboard clown/GTFOH-trolling with your bizarre lies and misinformation.

    2. @Snerd Terguson depending on what type of loan and use of the loan would depend on what numbers are needed for the loan. Personal loans would require different numbers than cooperate or LLC funding. He has several businesses that he owns and all of them have different and unique sets of numbers and/or tax forms. More information is needed to see if any fraud has occurred.

    3. @Joyful Joyful no his lawyer said “as any business person, Trump is trying to pay the lowest possible tax”. So that means “you” need to pay the highest possible tax even if “you” are eligible for rebates/deductions/write-offs, etc…..? I think you need to educate yourself in the tax code before opening your uneducated trap.

  8. If you fold a pie tin in half, then fold it again, you can use the sharp corner to scratch “BUT HER EMAILS!!!” on the wall of your cell.

    1. @tubruton But those emails still live in their minds! Just like that tan suit still raises their blood pressure.

    2. The same people who delighted in telling Democrats to “get over” Hillary losing in 2016.
Are the same people who are re-counting Arizona’s ballots in 2021.

  9. “Just to cheat on some taxes…”
So at the reported amount of $500k, that’s roughly 10 years of income at the average American’s salary. And this was just 1 transaction. What would happen to the average individual if they did this? They’d be in debt to the IRS the rest of their life.

    1. @Marla Hill ok that’s cool 😎,so how’s things going over there
      I’m from Germany 🇩🇪
But I lived in Richmond Virginia with my son

    2. @Luke Spencer sure. I’ll have to get back to you tomorrow okay.? I’ll just make a quick comment right here

  10. I hope that they get more dirt on Roger Stone and prosecute him again and put him in prison.

    1. @Charles Gallagher trump does have a brain, it has just never been used as anything other than a colostomy bag, (trump supporters can look up that word, and then attack me for telling the truth). The attacks are a badge of honor, as trump and his treasonous minions belong in that colostomy bag.

    2. @Biden’s Brain DJT will be a stain in the history of the U.S. for quite some time so “not over” is right.

  11. I am so glad that so many of these corrupt people are also really stupid and do not realize the trail they leave in their wake.

  12. Amusing that the young guilliani chap is JUST learning that consequences apply to everyone. 😄

  13. even if he wasn’t concerned about the “legality” of what he was doing, he should still be held as an accomplice

  14. “I luv visiting and inspecting the bunker…maybe a jail bunker will be great, the likes of which you have ever seen” – Dumpty Frumpty
