Mayor Pete Buttigieg On The Shifting Power In The Gun Debate | Craig Melvin | MSNBC

    1. @norman duke I didn’t tell you that at all. It a all incomes with the predjudice and paranoia that’s there in your head. It whispers, “Norman, he wants Warren to win”. I’d love to see Pete win, but the odds aren’t there, yet. Bernie and Pete, 2020. I’m not sure. You?

    2. @D. Bates …Bernie is as of now toast, one way or another.
Biden is hiding behind his sunglasses, looking weak.
That leaves two. Two “top picks” one of which is a towering fraud.
      …Hardly paranoia. Play nice.

    3. @norman duke Thanks, I got your opinion on Bernie easily. All I did was ask. Im thinking you are A. Not a Democrat, or; B. Not an American. No insult intended.

  1. I don’t think mayor pete could get the votes for president. would be fun to watch a veteran go up against president bone spurs

    1. My wish is that he would be chief of staff. Oh the places, we the people could go with that intellect and with that moral security.

  2. Just remember that all those people who are emotionally dependent on the security of a gun are the most terrified snowflakes of the all.

    1. ruth depew yupp im a terrified snowflake because my neighborhood has so many shootings that I feel unsafe if I don’t have a gun on me

    2. ruth depew 1 minute you’re a snowflake if you feel unsafe the next its “I don’t feel safe so give up your guns” lol make up your mind

  3. All assault rifles should be banned outright. The NRA is complicit in pushing these weapons of war onto the public & should be put out of business.

    1. Law abiding American citizens have a Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Battle rifles are intended for self defense in all circumstances. There are nearly 20 million battle rifles in the hands of Americans, most of whom are trained ex-military. You will start a civil war if you try to seize weapons from Americans.

  4. Mr Buttigieg would make a fine President. He has vision, practicality, intellect and …he radiates decency which would be a refreshing change from the status quo.

  5. ButtJuiceOverlord’s District Mafia Bagmen have been getting arrested and raided as of late.. How come MSNBCannibals are not reporting?

  6. “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”  Second Amendment

    1. @WarlordSquerk There are nearly 20 million law abiding owners of battle rifles in the USA. Are you going to deprive these citizens of their constitutional right to keep and bear arms for self defense, because a few criminals shot up some schools? Rifles are used in approximately 2% of the homicides in the USA each year. You are hysterical because you are innumerate.

  7. “District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), is a landmark case in which the Supreme Court of the United States held that the Second Amendment protects an individual’s right to keep and bear arms, unconnected with service in a militia, for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home, and that the District of Columbia’s handgun ban and requirement that lawfully owned rifles and shotguns be kept “unloaded and disassembled or bound by a trigger lock” violated this guarantee” Wikipedia

    1. I agree with the above, jack. But too many mall massacres, etc. are going on.
We had an assault weapons ban until Bush. Didn’t affect 2nd Amendment rights.
There are things I don’t agree with B., but he is a logical, clear headed thinker.
I think he will make a good Prez., certainly better than W.

  8. Why is Mayor Pete so against guns when the picture he’s most proud of is him holding an M16 rifle in the Army ??..Good enough for a photo op though, right Pete ??

    1. @MICHGO1..He was a Reservist paper pusher..We didn’t let them near weapons because the could hurt us or themselves..

  9. dear scared losers and fearmongers and people ignorant of math
350 deaths a year from ALL “assault weapons”
450 people struck by lightning a year
800 people last year died falling down front steps
    700 people killed by BAREHANDS
1500 people killed by sticks and stones
3500 people drown in a pool each year (banning pools will save more children than “gunsafezones”)
5200 deaths by choking per year
40,000 deaths by car per year
47000 deaths caused by depression (suicide)
    50,000+ deaths by flu
400,000+ robberies/crimes a year are stopped by civilians with guns
cough you are more likely to die from your front steps on your way to vote against ARs
you are more likely to die from being coughed on, than by an ARs
you are more likely to die on your drivethru food and/or crash than an AR
wake up and smell the coffee they dont want to control guns they want to control YOU

Metal detectors and ARMED GUARDS work pretty f****** good at protecting airlines and politicians dont they?

so why arent we doing the same for our children instead of listening to politicians who lie as a career?

btw these numbers can be found easily on the CDC, and FBI and other government and educational websites. check them yourself
