Five Memphis police officers were fired and arrested with murder following an internal investigation into the death of Tyre Nichols.

Former officers Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Justin Smith, Emmit Martin III and Desmond Mills Jr. have each been charged with one count of second-degree murder, aggravated assault – acting in concert, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of official misconduct and one count of official oppression, court records show.
The five were booked at the Shelby County Jail, and all posted bond Thursday, with bonds ranging between $250,000 and $350,000. Mills and Martin will plead not guilty, attorneys representing them said Thursday.
The charges come less than a week after the officers were fired and accused of violating department policy during the stop of Tyre Nichols, 29.

This is a prime example of police officers so undertrained. 5 black cops beat the death out of some black kid? Wtf for? This is disgusting as hell. We live in a racially divided country. Wtf would make those cops beat this kid up like that… U guarantee this was a targeted attack and he knew one or more of these cops.

I’ve seen the video. Here’s my breakdown. 1. Traffic stops do not warrant being pulled out of car and placed under arrest. Write the ticket and leave. 2. I understand why he “resisted” arrest when pulled out the vehicle because it’s unconstitutional. 3. Officers got pissed they tazed and maced him but also got maced in the process. 4. Officers caught up to him 3 houses from his parents and beat him, kicked him repeatedly in the head, 2 Officers held him up while another beat him with a baton and another punched him in the face.
In conclusion these officers cost the city millions of tax payer dollars. Happy it wasn’t white cops because America would burn tonight.
Every bastard that was involved with the beating I hope they get locked up for life. They have killed this young man no doubt. Im so sorry young man this happened to you. Your death wont be in vain. Also the paramedics and fireman should suffer the same fate as the police officers.

They killed that boy. He was trying to run home to get away from them. They didn’t ask for his license, they dragged him out and started beating him. The cop that was punching him in the face should get 60 years in prison
