Michael Oren: 'Israel Has To Tread Very, Very Lightly' | MTP Daily | MSNBC

  1. Israel keeps trying to skate on it’s original founding sentiment of oppression, but in some cases, in many ways, they have themselves become the oppressors.

Especially against Palestinians and other minority groups.

Calling out ANY Government, especially Israel, who claim to stand on their core Democratic values and traditions, for oppressing minorities is NOT, “anti-Israel,’ or, anti-Semitic, it’s what should be expected.

Oppressing minorities, or ANYONE else, in the name of, “Security,” is a step towards Autocracy, and it’s something that America has been behind Israel on since its inception in 1948.

The right to play the victim card is forfeit once your boot has been planted FIRMLY on another’s throat.

And calling that out is one of the most patriotic, “pro-Israel,” things one can do.

People like to argue, “What about the Terrorists? What about 9/11?!”

But, The hijackers in the September 11 attacks were 19 men affiliated with al-Qaeda.

15 of whom were citizens of Saudi Arabia, two were from the United Arab Emirates, one was from Lebanon, and one was from Egypt.

In that context, it can easily be argued that George W. Bush is directly responsible for the deaths of more American, and Allied, troops than any group of terrorists.

And, America’s own, “right wing,” White Supremacist Neo-Nazis, and their sympathizers have committed more acts or terrorism against the United States by a factor of a thousand since the Klan marched openly through Manhattan in 1907.

(A march with which Donald Trump’s grandfather, “Frederick Trump,” was participating.)

    1. @Vspiv A US President can ask, and he can beg, but he has zero authority to make it happen, nor does the US constitution make room for him to request that. Either they are admitted, or they were blocked by Israel. If they are blocked, both Israel and trump are responsible.

  2. That guy has to be kidding. Protesting against indiscriminate murder means you want to destroy the country?! Hey if you wonder why Israel has such a dreadful reputation, just look in the mirror.

You should rewrite your comment because you must be looking into your own Mirror while pointing your finger. Your comment makes no sense

The people of Israel is not the problem, it’s the faked leaders of all countries who are in cahoots against the Human race.

      Just tell us who’s side you’re on⁉️
Humanity or the Mon santons – then No Mirror is necessary.

    2. @Tattletale RED Pardon? The leadership is what I was talking about, the political institution of Israel. I don’t follow all of your comments, I don’t think you properly got what I said. Still, no harm done.

  3. Allowing him to frame BDS as “an effort to destroy Israel” without challenge is absolutely gutless and an abdication of your job as a journalist. I didn’t actually expect more from Chuck Todd or MSNBC but I’m still annoyed by it. If BDS can be construed as an effort to destroy Israel then what is the active apartheid state and ongoing slaughter of Palestinians by the Israeli’s but an ethnic cleansing!

  4. So economic boycotts are now trying to destroy countries? Sure why not, in this age of Trump everything asinine now is taken as fact.

  5. Getting fed up with Israel playing the anti-Semitism card every time their increasingly oppressive government is criticised. Their massive PR and lobbying machine has half the western world dancing to their tune.

  6. What he has done is galvanized everyone against him by embracing a bigot in the actual act of bigotry. Everything they’ve said about him is now seen as truth.

    1. nailbiter They’ve backed the wrong horse. They got Jerusalem and maybe the West Bank but it’s short term.

  7. Israel tread lightly? They’ve been putting the jack boot into the Palestinians for decades. Fascists.

  8. I think ambassador Oren is completely misreading them and their desire to visit Israel. Does he really think that they are going to lead protests or incite public unrest? That is right-wing fantasy talk.

  9. I say the next president should cut our military support to Israel by a third. They will never learn to protect themselves from the Muslim threat if we coddle them. I mean if they don’t trust our elected officials we can’t be sure they are on our side either.

  10. No one but zionists think Israel is a democracy and Israel has never cared about international law. This is Trump taking a bullet for the occupation.

  11. Cut their aid. If not for this reason then for the daily subjugation of the rightful owners of the holy land: the Palestinians
