Yes, but if someone is homeless, it’s a lot harder to get it together to do so, because everything else in one’s life is so chaotic when homeless. It’s hard to just keep a shelter bed or keep bills organized. So you’re right – GOP may well want millions more people homeless, because we all know that higher voter turnout favors Democrats, given that most voters in the U.S. are Democrats.

This housing fiasco will DIRECTLY impact the election as displaced folks no longer have residence addresses and therefore are not registered to vote in a particular district. Voter suppression via housing “blitzkrieg”.
