    1. Tell me about it. I’m going to be without a family doctor after October 31, like a million other British Columbians, as is my 91 year old mother. I don’t know how we’re going to be able to get our prescriptions.

  1. Premier Ford is a LIAR! Ontarians are not getting the care that they need, that we need, trust me! The nurses are incredible, doing such amazing work under these horrible conditions and we, the patients? Once the doctors do show up, if they show up, that in itself is a joke. It’s really disheartening to be living with a condition that requires urgent care in Ontario at the moment.

    1. This is happening coast to coast. Trudeau has ignored the pleas from EVERY province for more heathcare funding and Trudeau hasn’t even shown up to the meetings. Do some research before you post. Smh.

    2. @Brian Kroger Read the headline! Which is what I was replying to, since I live in Ontario. But thank you SO much for enlightening me, you obviously think I live in a cave.

  2. The past history of the Ontario Provincial Conservative Party with Mike Harris is the damage done & legacy. That, is still being felt today. Now Doug Ford has a real opportunity to show the poeple of Ontario that they’ve changed. This shouldn’t just be an issue to be pandered to, or glossed over as something that requires mere lip service. If they don’t it will be another 18 years of being the scorned government who just gave no thought about about the things poeple value like healthcare & its workers. 0_o

  3. Canada’s once-premium healthcare system is falling apart at the cost of nursing shortages and patient dignity. Meanwhile, Canadian taxpayers paid for an expensive holiday for the prime minister and his family. What’s wrong with this picture?

  4. Ontario has 10 times the health administrative staff that Germany does, way too many $250k/yr administrators and so few doctors and nurses. They work from home so far far removed from the frontlines of health care. Who are these administrators and what exactly do they do?

    1. That’s a Billion Dollar Question!!! I remember when a new hospital was built in our community to replace three older facilities. My mom was transferred to the new hospital when it opened. My wife and I were walking down the main hallway of the new hospital to see my mom. We over heard many staff in that hallway inviting others to come and see their new offices. It was a pathetic day of “Show & Tell” for all these office staff.

  5. Conservative just because they needed don’t mean they should have it their words not mine cut cut cuts

  6. This is so hard to understand. All that superior “Canadian Experience” and this is happening. Say it ain’t so.

  7. Not enuff doctors in family care my doctor moved away in July so I am now on waiting list for a doctor my husband also and he has heart condition and I myself suffer with chronic pain WE NEED DOCTORS too!
