Pressure on Netanyahu as union calls ‘historic’ strike

Journalist Elliott Gotkine reports from Tel Aviv, Israel, where thousands of protesters have flooded the streets on the day Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired his defense minister, Yoav Gallant, who had opened up a rift in the government by calling for a pause to controversial plans to overhaul the country's court system. This protest is a continuation of demonstrations going on for months across the country. #CNN #News

  1. This is going to happen in the US if a serial criminal is not held accountable for the damage done to an entire country with their lies, vitriol and life of criminal activity.

    1. @Silver It would mean that the end is nigh because what they are uniting under will be a guise for what day they are falsely worshiping.

    2. The people voted for reform. Only the elites, that have benefitted from the inequality caused by the partisan courts, are against reform.

  2. Power of the peoples does need for the corrupted leader.we need good leader .with in good heart.we don’t need a war.some peoples died for them self interest.

  5. There is no question whatsoever that Saddam is seeking and is working and is advancing towards the development of nuclear weapons. No question whatsoever. If you take out Saddam, Saddam’s regime, I guarantee you that it will have enormous positive reverberations on the region. – BENJAMIN NETANYAHU

  6. There is a lot to be said about Israel sinking into authoritarianism

Maybe it’s just because I am an American and I believe in the separation of different but equal branches of government

  7. As a United states Citizen who lived in Venezuela and was lucky enough to leave in 2000, I can tell you that Trump is behaving just like Chavez. He’s following in Hugo Chavez’s footsteps like deja vu. The January 6th Capitol attack gave me the same feeling as when Chavez attempted a coup in 1992, using his troops to attack the capital, but ultimately failing. He was imprisoned for a very short period of time. However, Chavez was younger and when he got out, he came back with a vengeance. He took over the country, put all the people he wanted in power, and look where Venezuela is now. I want to make myself clear, and mark my words: if Trump is re-elected as President, the entire United States system will crumble. We cannot afford to have a leader who only wants to hear “yes” and believes he is always correct.

  8. I visited Israel once and I’ve seen a place so tense. Felt like something will go down at any moment. Crazy place to live in and I won’t bother visiting again. That place is a time bomb.

  9. If the citizens do not respect and uphold the law, then they will cease to have the protection of the law.
    Good on you, proper Israelites.

  10. A coalition had to band together before Benjamin could be ousted and after all that he was elected back to power, what does anyone expect?
