The problem was, she wasn’t trying to define the word ‘woke’. She was trying to redefine the word ‘woke’ to fit her narrative.

If you believe that it means “alert to racial prejudice and discrimination”.
I think that is what it used to be used for back in the 2010s but it no longer means what you think it does. Slang words such as Woke, definitions change along with the culture. It has never connotation now, not a positive one.

It’s complicated, but she touches on what the definition is… ‘redo society to create new hierarchies of oppression.’ I would add the word ‘dishonestly’ to the start that statement.

Everyone coming up for election should use this clip, and ask their opponents what it is. They should also remind everyone the true meaning. Learning about something to try not to repeat wrongs isn’t a bad thing.

One telling thing I noticed: Ms Mandel didn’t stutter or stammer ONCE until asked by a Black woman to define woke. She was perfectly coherent and articulate until a black woman caused her to completely short circuit in spectacular fashion.
The funniest part of this will always be I can not define woke but wrote an entire chapter about defining woke, lol.
