Evidence shows that the Bible Jesus was invented by the Romans in an attempt to fashion a common religion to better manage and control their empire. Note that catholic means universal. The effort also was meant specifically to pacify the Jews who were constantly waring against the Roman occupiers. Note that the ‘messiah’ was not a warrior, but a pacifist and said ‘Render unto Caesar…’
Check out a red letter edition of the New Testament. Some passages, allegedly the words of Jesus, continue for several pages. Imagine someone standing next to Jesus when he spoke those wonderful words,.. and then tried to write them down the next day. How about fifty years later? Obviously not happening. The authors of the story put those words in the mouth of the central character.
Luke traces the family lineage of Jesus all the way back to Adam! But the Adam and Eve story is a child’s fairy tale. And yet we are supposed to believe that the Bible is ‘the word of God’.
My neighbors are cool, our kids play together… we have a nice diverse neighborhood, they just moved some Arabs in down the street and built a new privacy fence around their backyard… family of 3… they seem nice, gonna really get to meet them next week at a neighborhood watch meet the husband signed up… some of my neighbors are a little uneasy… that was fast too, I’m assuming they are from Afghanistan
