  1. I grew up in the 70’s of a Dad who hunted and fished his whole life. People can say it wasn’t reported of gun violence but one that is never reported is my generation had respect for what guns could do and I have a background on it. I’m 10 years old, taking my first gun safety class and my instructor walks in with a shotgun and fires off a blank round to get our attention of what happens if you don’t think a round doesn’t exist in the chamber of a gun. I don’t think this is used enough these days.

    1. @Jim McLoughlin you wouldn’t believe if you posted crazy sh*t like having gun classes in school for 7yr olds how many of people agree. Or Open carry of assault rifles…spot on!

  2. ‘Three precious children and three adults’, my Goodness, they could have been the children’s parents, aren’t their lives precious to??? 😮😮😮

    1. Locking a glass door was idiotic. a steel door and windows are needed these school officials are brainless.

    2. “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” Matthew 5:38-39

“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” Matthew 6:5-6.

  3. As a teacher:
    They don’t pay us
    They don’t protect us
    They won’t see us

    A generation awaits a solution

    1. @server1ok we agree to disagree.
Guns in classrooms may not be the best approach. – I invite the discussion.

  4. I agree that the voters are the ones to put these politicians in office. The two party system is a contributor to the politicians who do not actually represent the people as people just vote straight ticket and don’t spend the time to choose the best candidate.

    2. Our elected representatives did represent the people. The majority of the people. I this is why both Democrats and Republicans did not take any additional guns and parole action because the elected representatives were fearful that they would not be reelected.

    1. @Mark but that takes tax payer money. We can’t get Healthcare from tax payers what makes you think they would pay for this.

  5. At one time back in the day they had a gun safety class in elementary school. And you didn’t see all this killing. And yes now days it is different but knowledge is a good thing.

    1. @Looneylacy – @”Indiana 1956. Shows pictures of the kids and a police officer showing how to use the gun.” – Ok, that makes sense. Desegregation was in 1954 and when they realized they would be teaching black kids how to defend themselves against their oppressors, they probably thought it was a good idea to stop the training in school. 🤣

But in all seriousness, schools were properly funded in 1956 and the population size was half what it is now. So it was a bit of a different world. However, it isn’t illegal to take your kid to a shooting range and get private training with a gun…and I personally think that should be required to own a gun.

    1. Eager to hear about this action you propose… how do you stop a person whose mind has been altered to the point of having no motive ?

    2. @Ariana Marsello So like what is this magical solution? I hope youre not referring to more gun control, because that has failed everywhere in the world it has been implemented.

  6. Keep missing the root problem, mental health… most young kids today grew up in a household of dual income, both parents working, so there where many instances where they were left alone to grow up without guidance from a parent, The lack of structure from family in my opinion has caused many children to grow up, confused alone and unsure, turning to social media for guidance leading to mental health issues..if you think about back in the 70s and 80’s when mostly single income father would go to work, the mother would raise the children think about how many school shootings in the 70s 80s or even the 90s…NONE! I believe wholeheartedly that the erosion of organize labor unions and the stagnant wages for working people Coupled with inflation have created a culture we’re both parents are forced to work 60-70 hours a week just to pay basic bills. Republican politicians and Republican news networks starting in the 80s and still to today demonize unions and organize labor for one reason, they don’t want unions they don’t want people making fair wages… Republicans have successfully demonized unions and fair wages and health benefits and pensions to the point where it’s now associated with Socialism or Democratic Socialism. Whatever you wanna call it, that was their goal all along to demonize fair wages, unions and benefits were people could live normal lives, save money, single income, or a mother or father could be home to raise their children. Through the unions, families were also provided health benefits and a pension…This is why Jimmy Hoffa was loved by Millions! And the government could not stand to see a labor leader have so much power for the good of the members! Republicans want to have all the power for their own benefit!

  7. We do have an officer with a gun at our school. Kids also go through metal detectors and have their bags searched… Teachers go through very graphic, traumatizing Active Shooter training… We have lockdown drills…. BUT… that is enough!! We don’t need our kids surrounded by officers with giant guns on top of everything. Turning schools onto armed camps is not mentally good for our kids. We need to do other things as well… like banning AR15s which are designed for the military to quickly take out people. We need other regulations as well. Everything can’t be on the shoulders of kids & teachers.

  8. The lawmaker in favor of arming school staff with guns made a point to state in this video that no shootings happened at schools with armed staff. Is there a published list of schools that arm staff, thereby deterring shooters from choosing that school as their target and selecting an unarmed school instead?
I’m trying to understand his statement.

    1. YES! The Nashville shooter rejected as a target a location that was determined to be too secure and instead chose the less secure target. The lesson here is don’t be the less secure target.

    2. @Kundry,

Absolutely! These terrorists are cowards! Once they know they’ll have an equal or outmatched fight, they give up. They only want to target those who can’t/won’t fight back. This is why they’re cowards!

  9. Politicians have armed security, but apparently law abiding civilians and children don’t deserve that same type of security. Typical Rich hypocrites

  10. Voting people in office is like buying milk. Eventually the milk will spoil if it just sits there without being used.

  11. I wish you hadn’t left out his answer to another question about solutions and he said “home schooling”. That was the most jaw dropping part of the interview!!!

    1. @denise eugene Resource officers are assigned to the schools, and are supposed to be in the school during school hours.

    2. @denise eugene That’s not how it works with resource officers. They are obligated to be on campus at all times during school hours, and request a replacement officer if they have to leave campus. But, AGAIN, don’t you find it interesting that the resource officer is ALWAYS gone when these shootings happen? 🤔

    1. @xXElement Hard to do anything or get things passed when repubs in the NRA’s pocket stonewall. Thoughts and prayers sucker.

  12. hard to support the individual who feels the need to step in front of his adversary and speak over him. Not saying he doesn’t have a valid point to make, just that he’s being extremely emotional and immature about it. Let the conversation happen. Do not fear the conversation. Let’s get to the bottom line.
