  1. She was great in Murder She Wrote, and exceptional in, The Last Unicorn. Gonna miss her.
    Rest in peace.

  2. Sad news… She was VERY popular here in Ireland, where she had one of her homes and spent a lot of time living quietly here. Seemed to be a very thoughtful, decent person in real life, and one helluvan actress. RIP…

  3. Fell in love with Angela in late 60s.Just out of college 5 of us drove 9 hrs to see her on Broadway in MAME. Fortunately got to see her again including, of course, the Murder She Wrote series….Beautiful talented woman that was dedicated to her craft. Thank you so much Angela.

  4. I was lucky enough to see her in one of her last roles in “Blythe Spirit” in DC from the second row. She commanded the stage. Afterwards, there was a small crowd outside waiting in the cold to see her. She was so gracious and kind and stopped and spoke to her fans for a few minutes before leaving. We’ve lost a legend.

  5. A brilliant and talented actress! My deepest condolences to family and friends. Rest peacefully sweet lady Angela and thank you!

  6. Angela created so many wonderful characters. I will always love her work from Bedknobs and Broomsticks, MSR, Manchurian Candidate, Mrs. Potts… What an amazing talent across the board.

  7. Loved this actress no airs and graces just a love of life and acting. Rest in well earned peace Dame Angela.

  8. I use to watch murder she wrote with my grandmother when she was alive and I as a 40 year man still watch it at night when I can’t sleep and it helps me remember my Grandmother. R.i.p Angela Lansbury thanks for all the great moments.

  9. One of the all-time great actresses, right up there with Bette Davis and Olivia de Havilland. And she seemed like a most likeable, down-to-earth human being. I don’t know of any contemporary actress who could match her talent or graciousness. She will be missed.

  10. I lived in the Irish village she moved to (not when she lived there). The Irish people loved her because she turned her back on Hollywood when she learned her children were using drugs and moved her family to Ireland. She put her family needs above her career. RIP to a Wonderful Mom who also happened to be a talented actress

  11. Gosh, she was an will always be a beloved part of my memories of family growing up. Murder, She Wrote was my mother’s favorite TV show, and Angela had one of the most intelligent, friendly and sweet-sounding voices I ever heard! Rest in peace Angela.

  12. She deserved every award every tribute that came her way! An International Treasure! May she rest in peace!
