  1. Great to see this lift off here. I was on holiday in Fl the weekend she was first meant to depart and flew past her on my way in to Orlando. What a beautiful monster!!! As it happens, I watched the SpaceX flight that did take off 2 days earlier – what a tiddler compared to this!

  2. We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.

    1. . . . yeah , well , – that , – and then actually dreaming up something more imaginative than what had already been accomplished 60 years ago.

    2. @Paul Rogers I don’t think you realize what Artemis is going to do. We are going to go beyond the moon and into the unknown. Our lifetime will see a new era of space travel the likes of which Kennedy would have been proud of.

  3. Watching that launch took me back to the early days of watching the Apollo moon launches on television as a kid, it was exciting then, and now.
The sad thing is that the launch didn’t get as much glamorous fanfare in the media as it did then.

    1. Artemis-I, It Resembles of Saturn-V, From The 80s Cartoon of SilverHawks, Because of Its Liquid Fuels: Hydrogen and Oxygen.

    2. So many more things competing for our attention in 2022 as opposed to 3 TV stations. But yeah I get your feelings about it

    3. It was just a test mission, not enough to receive highest attention. Plus, we’ve been on the moon before.

    4. I never understood why they did not air all other moon-missions from Apollo 2-13 or whatever the numbers were.
This is actually what gives rise to the moon-hoax-conspiracies.

  4. I watched it on YouTube last night and I was so glad I got off the ground because I knew NASA was going to be the butt in of every joke out there today if they didn’t get that rocket off the ground and Elon musk was going to rub their nose in it so I’m glad NASA got it off I hope it’s a flawless mission and I’m ready for Artemis 2 and 3

    1. @Mani Just because Musk is a repulsive lying person, doesn’t mean SpaceX is a vapourware company. Starship isn’t just some joke, if the entire industry is talking about it. The lunar variant of Starship, operated by NASA, will be what’ll land human’s back on the moon for Artemis 3 and 4. I really want Musk to be removed from SpaceX CEO position if he continues to be a twat, because the public image of the most successful modern rocket company is being tarnished by his stupid antics.

    2. @The Wolf of Youtube So supporting NASA/science means that you support a single party? You do realize that most of the stuff you take for granted was created by, or exists because of, NASA.

  5. 2 things:
    1. I absolutely love that the Asian guys first name is Leroy like my fathers 😂😂
    2. Watching this liftoff was simply amazing and beautiful, this is the America I love 🇺🇸

  6. For me so much history from day one seeing men walking on the moon ! It gives me goosebumps to see this beautiful Artemis 1 takeoff to the moon again and it’s coming back December 11 on my birthday ❤

  7. Can’t wait to see all the “red crew” themed memes. I really want to see an interview with those guys. This really is a team effort.
And it was all the feels to witness the reporter Kristin’s pure joy and excitement about the launch.

  8. Saturn V we salute you for being the most powerful rocket till the Artemis 1 it took over, 50 years later!!! Two amazing rockets and engineering!!!

  9. The plume is Awesome ! Wow ! What a display of power ! This is the first space shot I wasn’t present for at the cape since the space center opened in the early 60s

  10. Congratulations from all of Canada, we are as pleased as Americans and look forward to our CSA participation in future missions. No one does it better than America when it comes to space. It’s good to be with you.

  11. I would’ve loved to see the Apollo launches from the 1960’s to 1972. I would’ve loved to see Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin land on the surface of the moon, while Michael Collins piloted the Apollo 11 Command module above the Moon’s surface.
I would love to experience an Artemis launch. I would love to see Artemis 3 launch in person as it sends humans back to the moon for the first time in what will be 53 years.
I witnessed STS-135 (The very last Space Shuttle mission) in 2011.
