so when they are having a fundraiser in teams should the parents who work as bank managers sit out ? Everyone has their strengths she ran for her baby and as a world-class sprinter, I can imagine she was looking forward to win a race for her son. at the end of the day its a simple little sports day race so just see the good in it- mommy supports son.
She should run because it’s a female parent race. She is a parent who should represent her offspring just like the other parents. They all contribute to the Jamaican society, just not as an athlete like she is. I would be ecstatic to be in a line up alongside her even if I knew I had a very slim chance of winning. Should she tell her son that she didn’t run to represent him because she is a professional athlete? He would never be able to grasp such an excuse.

There have been many explanations for why she ran that day but I suspect there’s another one that nobody is talking about. Shelly is too competitive to even go to her son’s sports day without taking home a gold medal. She would have lost sleep for months if she hadn’t jogged (for her) that day.
