  1. I can’t wait for the election and for Poilievre to be PM and fix this country from what they have destroyed

  2. Finally, we can all feel safe knowing the Liberal Government will curate the internet for Canadians.

  3. He claims the government doesn’t want to regulate ‘creator content’ or affect what a viewer can view. What, then, is the purpose of the regulation?
Say, too, if a Canadian citizen created content insistently critical of government policies, would they run afoul of this purposeless Bill?

    1. @Smokie the Bear HOW DARE YOU SIR; THE KING WILL HEAR OF THIS I PROMISE YEI! HE WILL I TELL YOU! OW YOULL BE SORRY YOU WILL WHEN HIS MAGISTY CATCHES UP WITH YEY! HEIL CHARLIE ! HEIL CHARLIE!

    1. Anything that is made in Canada, legally must be 60% produced in Canada (filming/recording and editing)

  4. They want YouTube to have a similar % of Canadian content available to Canadians so the algorithm will have to change on the Canadian version of YouTube.

Trying to do it manually on a case by case content focussed basis would be impractical, & cost prohibitive if not impossible.

  5. all i heard was “No! this bill is simply going to spend, spend some more, and it the budget will simply balance itself, that’s it!”

  6. What would be nice is if a minister can be promoting a bill for two years, that they can at least clearly articulate what the f*** they are putting into legislation. Embarrassing for Canada

  7. what did he mean that it’s not about changing the algorithms? isnt that the whole point of the bill? Im so confused

    1. SHUT YOUR GOB AND BOW TO HIS MAGISTY KING CHARLIE CHO-MO!
SHOW SOME RESPECT AND ACCEPT YOU ARE NOW A SUBJECT OF HIS LORDSHIP! MERE PROPERTY! NO LONGER A HUMAN BUT INDEED YOU HAVE THE STATUS OF THE KINGS DEER IN THE KINGS FORREST; YOU BELONG TO HIS MAGISTY!

  8. I’m an art YouTuber who’s videos are intended to reach out to an international audience

I also run an online art school that provides affordable art education to artists worldwide, often in countries where professional and affordable education isn’t even an optional

It’s because of my YouTube channel that this is all possible – that is my primary means of making that international connection

If this bill restricts the visibility of my content internationally, this won’t only severely impact my livelihood, but will also significantly reduce the reach of my school worldwide

I should have the right to make that choice myself rather than have this law imposed on me and millions of artists worldwide
