  1. We should be talking about decreasing mps and pms salaries and talking about term limits as well as holding our politicians accountable for breaking ethics and how and what they spend our tax dollars on.

    1. Politicians never stand by supporting term limits. Do you know who used to support term limits? Pierre Poilievre, the near 20 year MP

Also, there’s nothing wrong with going after the ultra wealthy with higher taxes when the gap between the poor/middle class and rich continues to grow

  2. I say lets stop the inequality of Federal politicians and employees and their pensions, compared to every other Canadian.

  3. I think Canadians need to go after Politicians which make bank on huge side deals and influence peddling

  4. Is it true that politicians only pay 66% tax on their pensions? Must be why a certain lady in Toronto is looking for another pension from the possibility of being Mayor.

  5. He’s knows he’s wearing a $5000 suit right? 🤣🤣🤣 and notice how his cuff is covering the Rolex

  6. CEO salaries are not the problem and are small change when compared to real spending like the $650 BILLION Trudeau chewed through in 18 months and the 25% increase in the size of government in the same period.
Singh is trying to divert attention away from him supporting this madness.

  7. Actual proposal, make stock options have to pay full taxes on sale instead of the 50% capital gains reduction so that what is effectively a bonus is taxed the same as income straight income like every other worker instead of making arbitrary CEO pay restrictions.

  8. What does this really do? It does not increase wages for “workers”. It is a tax that increases government revenues. And I do not believe the government has demonstrated any ability to responsibly manage these tax revenues they are collecting from all Canadians.

  9. It’s about time. Their salaries is increasing the price of the products they make. That’s the real cause of price increases and inflation.

  10. The NDP proposal is very naïve and is intended to have political effects not real effects. Comparing the salary of a grocery retailer CEO to say a tech company or mining company CEO based on a multiple of median wages is naïve. The duties and responsibilities of CEO’s typically has nothing to do with the median wage of their employees.

  11. If he cared about Canadians at all, he would drop Trudeau like a bag of dirt. If that happened, there would be an election and then he could make all his campaign promises as the leader of the N.D.P Party. As things are now, Singh will get tarred with the same brush as Trudeau.

  12. Singh plans to obey ….the one who holds his golden pension on the end of a stick …more or less..
Everything comes at a price … when you have no moral ethics it’s just so much easier …. ask Jagmeet… care to share what you did for your raise ?

  13. I’m conservative, but agree with this proposal. The way you have structured it is fair without inhibiting free enterprise.
