Sports Minister Wishes under-20 National Football Team Good Luck In Tournament

Roseau, Dominica – Wednesday, July 16, 2014 – Minister for Culture, Youth and Sports Honourable Justina Charles has expressed confidence in the Under-20 National Football Team as they left Dominica to take part in the Caribbean football Union Under-20 World Cup Qualifiers in Aruba. The team left for Aruba on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 for the three team tournament which includes Aruba and Grenada.

Prime Minister Skerrit, Ministers George, Bernard and McIntyre, DFA Officials and Members and Coaching Staff of U20 National Football Team.

Minister Charles called on the team to do their best and use this opportunity as a learning experience. She called on the footballers to be disciplined and motivated as they go out to represent Dominica.
“They are going to meet other players and so I am hoping that they will use that opportunity to gain enough experience and to learn, so that when they come back they can impart from what they have learnt and help to motivate the other young footballers and so we can establish ourselves as one of the premiere countries in terms of football,” Minister Charles stated.

The twenty – five member delegation is expected to return to Dominica on July 23, 2014.
