    1. @Pup Pup Man In the last year, not the period of the fires. You’re spewing DT Jr’s lies about the causes of Australia’s fires. The Victoria Fire Cheif said majority of fires were ignited by lightning. The fire spreads due to drought caused by climate change. Sorry guys, I know I’m requesting to use your brain here for once

    2. Ross before commenting you may wish to bring yourself up to date on what has actually been happening here first…just a thought, it spares you future embarrassment

    3. @me heretoday Well aware of what the Liberal government of AUS is doing to destroy the planet and Australia’s resources like the great barrier reef etc. How about you stop leaving vapid troll comments and spare yourself the embarrassment

  1. I’m here in Melbourne and visibility is only around 200m, union workers told to stay home and massive increases in lung infections. 3/5 workers in our crew have bad coughs and husky voices

    1. Damn that’s awful, you guys need to invest in those masks the Chinese wear. My lungs have been pretty fucked recently because of menthol cigarettes.

    2. P2 masks are best and try to stay out of it as much as possible…we have had it since early December here

    3. Our Chief Minister bought them in to the city in bulk because Bunnings was sold out… people with illnesses could get them free from the Chemists… try Bunnings, Chemists and if you have to order in do it… we couldnt even do that for a while lol our Posties werent allowed to deliver in the toxic smoke… good luck mate…stay healthy

    1. yeah it ain’t nice out there, funny it doesn’t really smell like smoke, or are we just used to the smell now? (out west in Hoppers)

    2. Dorian Shades of gray Might be a good idea I’d say,it’s terrible here! Can’t wait for the change to come through tomorrow!

  2. Guess I should go out and get a stock of face masks and inhalers here in Auckland. It’s only a matter of time.

    1. I would if I were you…we have been wearing masks for 6 weeks here now … both my adult kids have developed chest infections from breathing in the ash… dont take any chances

  3. I’m in contact constantly with an Aussie acquaintance in northern Australia. She is fire free but is keeping me updated. We are prayin for ya Australia.

    1. @Kuruma Uzamaki no the fires were started by lightning sticking dry areas in the hottest, dryest time in Australia’s history. The arsons just added on top of it.

    2. Harri climate didnt start or fuel these fires… oh dont get me wrong the climate issue has not helped but it wasnt the cause…incompetence of our Gov was… they refused to listen to those who knew how to land manage and look where we ended up…sigh

    1. Yeah the Taal Volcano in the Philippines and the constant nonstop Earthquakes in Puerto Rico aren’t helping. At least we didn’t go to war with Iran. Yet.

    2. @TheUmbrellaCorpX7[エヴ] protesters in Iran now Love Donald Trump for killing a Terrorists ruling them with brutality for many years

    3. @Wili Wds Not every Iranian though, just the good ones. Plus we know the bad ones have said they are developing Nuclear weapons and Trump said as long as hes in office he would make sure Iran never occurs nuclear weapons, so its not hard to see another rise in tensions on that front sometime in the near future.

    1. did aussie arsonists start all the fires in siberia last summer? how about the record blazes in the amazon? was that caused from aussie arsonists? how about the wildfires in california n western canada? damn those aussie arsonist assholes!!

    2. Trent not sure about Siberia but I believe the Amazon was deliberately lit as well mate… just a heads up “climate change” didnt start our fires and if you are going to call out all the fires around the world to prove that Australian fires were caused by CLIMATE CHANGE you might want to not try to use fires that were deliberately lit, and proven to have been deliberately lit, to prove your case lol have a nice day…

    3. @me heretoday your fires have been worse because of climate change yes, why keep denying something that is so obvioua at this point?

    1. mmmm yes they have been telling us that for over a month now… we did get about six drops one day to be fair.

  4. Cooee From the safety of the shore. I could see the town no more. And while I struggle still to see. There is no forest for the trees. Animals all screamed and fled. Sky darkened black and red. Causes yet not clear to me. Why no forest for the trees? Reef turned white without life. Uncertain what brought such strife. Maybe it was the warming sea. Destroyed the forest for the trees. As the ground and rivers dried. A few spoke up and kinda tried. Little left within cooee. There is no forest for the trees.

  5. misinformation about arsonists led fires …sounds like this … “blah blah blah 200 deliberately lit”

    no.
