    1. I find it so funny that a Doctor/PM from T&T telling us that putting people to death is expensive while his Country is number 6 on the highest crime rate list.

    2. It is all about prevention… if a murderer is dead, that’s a guarantee he will not become a repeat offender.

  1. Loosing innocent lives to criminals is more costly than the implementation of the death penalty.

  2. I think feeding, Clothing, Giving shelter to someone over and over Every time they have Committed a crime would be more costly. We have convicts in the system that have been there from 18 years old and they are now 40 odd what cost are you Checking Mr PM Prison has now become a hotel just a revolving door for these people 🙄 the Death penalty should make a comeback and I would love to see implemented in Jamaica 🇯🇲

  3. In no way does this Trini leader make much sense with his position on the death penalty. How much would it cost to feed provide free healthcare and secure one inmate for there entire life? It would cost more to keep one inmate for one year than it would any appeal process! What abt sending a strong message. What about the NATURE of crimes that absolutely warrant the death penalty?

    1. In my opinion the Trinidad prime monster is talking crap of about the death penalty. instead of supporting the it he is talking stupidness I believe the Caribbean country should come to to😂 together to vote on the topic of the death
penalty too much people in the Caribbean and the world are losing their lives because of the crime and destruction

  4. That’s why citizens should get their gun license and take law into their hand when these murdering criminals approach your home or business. That will fix the cost issue.

  5. 😂😂😂 Too costly to re-implement the death penalty? More costly than free room and board on taxpayers’ expense? No matter the fight, we the taxpayers will happily pay it to move, work and rest peacefully.

  6. What is Mr Keith Rowley talking about death penalty is punishment, when people going around with guns killing people:isn’t that punishment upon the family of these elderly and babies?what is needed is to secure the borders stopping the guns and drugs from coming into Jamaica:and implement the death penalty period. Most of those islands don’t care two tats about Jamaica’s being destroyed by guns and drugs.

  7. Politicians will not support the death penalty as they will be first to be eliminated. Makes sense .

  8. What percentage of public hospitals resources goes towards treating victims of crime yearly?. And again how much does it cost to employ security and to purchase security apparatus which hardly help? .I would would like to know if the implementation of hanging is more costly than the above.

  9. I seriously don’t see how the death penalty is more costly than housing and feeding a prisoner sentenced to life or decades of prison. Is the same amount of appeal if a man decide to appeal for other crimes and I truly believe it would deter some serious crimes

  10. While I agree that respect between law enforcement and citizens should be commutative, some citizens need to mind their business and stop encouraging others to disobey laws.

  11. Keith Rowley need to surrender all his degrees and sit at the feet of a market lady who will teach him common sense. He wants to take the gun manufacturers to court for allowing their guns to reach Trinidad and into the hands of criminals there? Will he take the knife and machete manufacturers to court next? Which other frivolous case will he think of? How much of T&T citizen’s money is he willing to burn on those frivolous cases that he is guaranteed to lose? Man, go fix the country’s problem by guaranteeing the penalty fits the crime and prevent a recurrence.

    1. Seems like they will soon take God to court for creating the sea whenever a person drowns or a shark kills someone.😆😆😆😆

  12. There must be a motive behind this police officer grabbing this man . some people need to leave the police to do their job and have some respect.

  13. It would be CHEAPER TO JUST GIVE the ghetto YOUTHS a CHERRY GARDEN EXPERIENCE TOO. GREED is the cause of crimes in Jamaica. Some people want EVERYTHING for themselves and their families and then SELLING OUT THE YOUTHS INHERITANCE WEALTH and lands to foreigners. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

  14. I hope ANDREW HOLINESS take a page from DR.ROWLEY”S book of how he speaks with wisdom and humility and not ARROGANCE and condescending to people. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

    1. You can insult people with a nice tone and with nice word too… that does not make it admirable or desirable.
