Trump, Biden Campaigns Stake Different Strategy In Michigan | Morning Joe | MSNBC
As a long time independent I’m going to say this flat out if the Democrats screw this up we can kiss democracy goodbye. Those two volunteers at the start talking about being on a phone you can’t even get an answer at the Democratic national headquarters it’s all automated as usual.

@Dave Schultz heres an indication of support. A man in Detroit had 8 Biden signs stolen out of his yard. He got a go fund me page and within 3 days got enough for 1 billboard. Within 10 days $4000 was raised from small donations. Within a day after RGB died drms raised 100 mil in donations. Not able to come in my door where I live we got those boxes up in front of building that they have to talk to the Box when I answer and I have to push a button in my apartment to let only caregivers are loud in my Apartments. And even after they get in there’s a security guard. Then there’s cameras and you have to wear gloves and mask I have to stay six feet away from me. I am so glad I live in this place. They definitely take care of me very well.

You can campaign outside, with masks, relatively safely. Not completely safely. America puts more faith in masks than we do in my country. We’ve seen videos on the news showing the aerosols that escape with a mask. They’re better than nothing, but they’re not perfect.
@janeen harris there was a poll from morning consult that said 2 out 3 Michigan residents, (66% ) are apprehensive about door to door campaigning. That 66% is further split with Dems more apprehensive than Reps. IDK, at this point in time do you really think, undecideds if there are any, will be swayed from a door to door knocker?
@Doreen Cloutier, yes. It’ll put them off Trump even more. Those door knockers have been to rallies. I’d be interested to know whether they’re polite to everyone. Being Trumpists, they’re probably rude.
I get where Scarborough is coming from…but no. Don’t come to my door. This is not 1993. There are other ways to get out the vote. We have the internet now.
@Donovan T There were a lot of things that created the loss, but the numbers are this: trump won 3 critical swing states by 77,000 votes. The 3rd party votes alone were much more than that. He won 4 swing states by 1% or less. I don’t understand why they can’t deliver pamphlets door to door without knocking.
I’d be worried that the person from the Trump campaign had been at one of those super spreader rallies and was bringing Covid to my door…

I also hate texts and phone calls from people I don’t know. And the fact she said she is using google voice to spoof her number is disgusting. She is invading the privacy of others, but wants to remain anonymous. Both door knocking or unwanted calls and texts will lose votes.
