One of the most high-profile true crime cases in recent history is playing out in a South Carolina courtroom. Testimony is underway in the double murder trial of disbarred attorney Richard "Alex" Murdaugh, who is charged with killing his wife and son.

Murdaugh, part of a South Carolina legal dynasty, was charged with murder in connection to the 2021 shooting deaths of his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul. Murdaugh has pleaded not guilty. After the shootings in June 2021, police launched investigations into two other deaths connected to Murdaugh and alleged criminal acts dating back more than a decade.

  1. Where could someone be on their knees hiding like a sniper and be close? Wow. Is it normal for a person to kneel on their knees before they shoot another standing? Are there studies of shooters being on their knees shooting a standing person? How far does the shooter have to be away to shoot another not to get anything on them?

  2. Just based off of the lack of due diligence with the evidence, such as not taking the basic footprint castings, fingerprinting the site, flip flopping on where evidence was collected, and the circumstantial evidence, plus the motive of almost that whole town because of his son’s and the lack of investigation into them should throw this whole trial out… Get him on what you really know he did… financial crimes. Apparently it’s enough to send him away for life.

    1. Very true on the financial stuff, he should be put into a place to work to pay back double what he took for dishonest gain. It’s God’s law the thief pay back double, Since we live in a “one nation under God”

  3. She is hitting it out of the ball-park. She is giving him a good tuition. He is standing there as a kinder garden 6 year old boy, before a Harvard professor.

  4. If Alex is innocent…. Isn’t he moving heaven and earth to find the killers of Maggie and Paul??????????????

  5. If innocent, why lie about calling 911 after checking Maggie and Paul ??? Which the hell was it, I’m tired of lies!!!!!!!

  6. I truly believe will be on the right mind to be questioned, I see a lot of corruption corruption! and hate! Whoever did this must really hate the family! And yes I would think it’s possible to involved and investigate members of the family and the boat, and why not, his own close friends,

  7. @SereneDreamz Bring Someone to Justice Definition: To serve someone his or her rightful punishment. Additionally, there is a HUGE difference in white collar crime, minimum security prisons and maximum security prisons where MURDERERS go. Maximum security is the most restrictive level of confinement and minimum security is the least restrictive. The prison security level is an indicator of the extent to which an offender who is assigned to that facility is separated from the civilian community. My vote is for Alex Murdaugh to go Maximum Security Prison not minimum security country club prison.

  8. Remember no one has said that Maggie and Alex had a bad relationship everybody testify saying that they were a happy family a wonderful relationship they love each other I know people that they’re on drugs , and they owe money and they don’t kill their this has to do with the boat accident, and one of the persons that he stole money from so those are the ones they need to be getting understand this police officers and detectives to investigate and do their job right, remember it happened before in life people gets convicted not being guilty and I hope that that doesn’t happen here because this man has been going through so much with his addiction with his problems but this right here marches life with seen brains of his wife and son on the wall…!!!!!! This man is not the the one that did this get it I hope the jury don’t commit a mistake putting this man in jail God bless to everybody in

  9. As much as I’m on the state’s side here, this lady is a difficult witness. Non responsive through and through. Diatribe after lengthy diatribe and difficult. Too intelligent for a jury lol.

I am always so grateful for a witness who gives their statements and opinions but doesn’t come across biased. Not the case here but fascinating nonetheless.

  10. This man is a psychopath and lied about being at the kennels within 2 mins of the killings. Give me a break. I have no trouble believing he killed his family to rid him of the boat case moving forward and to buy time with the financial crimes coming to light. Guilty.

  11. If he is innocent why didn’t he do more to try to find the killers of his wife and son. Most people wants justice for there families. He seems to care less.

  12. It’s difficult to duplicate the shotgun pattern. The gun may of had an interchangeable choke installed that can easily vary the pattern concentration.
