    1. That’s so disappointing to hear. I used to ride the Green and Red lines every day, from Back Bay to Harvard Square. This was exactly 40 years ago, and it was terrific.

A related note: recently, everyone has been citing crime and lawlessnes to explain Lori Lightfoot’s failure to be reelected mayor of Chicago. Certainly, that’s part of it, but NOTHING works anymore in ‘the City that works’. Least of all the CTA, once one of the great systems of public transportation in the world. It is now completely unreliable and dysfunctional.

  1. It’s such a sad state to see those on the stairway only interested in escaping rather than assisting her . Shame

    1. Assist her?She didn’t get hit at all by the ceiling panels. She was fine. What exactly would you have them do?

  2. So glad she was not hurt. I hope she gets a respiratory exam just to make sure that her lungs are good.🙏😇

  3. one thing i dont miss about living in East Boston is East Boston. Although Maverick station aint that bad. but the red line is

  4. Bathroom window of the government quarters I live in collapsed right on my toilet seat. My 2 months son cried and came to check back on him. I was saved by seconds.

  5. Stuff happens done it. You’ve got to keep your eyes open and study. One time my waistband on my jacket got caught in the back door of a bus and the bus took off and dragged me down the street for three blocks.

  6. I used to use that station every day, and if the information is correct, that panel may have been installed when I was a graduate student. In 1982 or ’83.

I’m worried now that I may be in the same state of disrepair.😳
