We all know old age homes are at serious risks for obvious reasons. Can anyone tell me the life saving measures the government has taken specifically to protect these types of establishments, besides weekly or biweekly covid testing and visitation behind fences or glass

LTC homes have been disgusting for decades, every flu season thousands die , well except this one, cause you know “the covid” cured the flu.
In ontario they have i beleive 200ish Military medical personel at the old age homes last time i checked, not sure about other provinces.
@Toby Jean they haven’t been able to fix the gross LTC homes in Ontario for years. Every year they get caught with neglect and no punishment. There was a question to Ford last week about that and he just passed on the question and went about vaccines. It’s always about pricking someone.

You had MONTHS to implement the proper protections for long-term care facilities. WHY HAVEN’T YOU ALREADY IMPLEMENTED PROPER PROTECTIONS FOR LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES?
(Fact the Ontario government doesn’t want you to realize: according to the Ontario government’s own data, over the last 100 days, from October 4th through January 11th, a total of 1,078 long-term care residents have died from COVID. The Ford government has UTTERLY FAILED TO PROTECT LONG-TERM CARE RESIDENTS.)
