This gun culture is very dangerous.. 74% of people killed in America could be saved if we ban guns because guns are one of the easiest to access, easiest to use, and easiest to mass murder with out of all weapons. The idea of banning guns has been raised several times before, but people argue that our police won’t be able to protect themselves or get others, and neither will we be able to protect ourselves..but that simply don’t justify mass shootings.. Firearms laws should be tightened..

I said nothing about being happy! These officers did their job and worked tirelessly and very hard at it and I recognized them for that! I stand on that compliment! No one asked for this event to happen! But it did and they came to the call!! As a thought though…had trained and competent students been able to defend themselves….perhaps a perpetrator would think twice…or at the very least been taken out much sooner! Just a thought!
I get a sense of your anger in two different directions… I think it was a judge who let this individual off….not the police…

All our biggest fears as parents. The future generations will grow up in this environment and eventually sensible gun control will happen. If this guy had an assault rifle, you can be sure there would be more deaths. Limit assault weapons, stricter background checks.

I am sad to hear about the incident @MSU last night. My family and I lived at the campus for 7 years during my husband’s graduate program. Just moved out a year ago. I socked to hear about this. East Lansing and MSU is a safe place to live in. My condolences and sympathy goes to those families who lost their loved ones and those injured.
