The Taliban knows better than to let jihadi groups use Afghanistan as a summer camp after last time. They’ll crack down on them if only to deny the U.S. an excuse to reinvade.
They say that they were surprised by how fast. Generals and CIA are paid to not be surprised. It is always the fault of the General staff, high rank comes with high risk. At one time they would be required to fall on their sword.
We definitely need to step up our effort to help get people out.
Everyone involved should own their mistakes. That’s the sign of a true leader, not a coward trying to manipulate people

We achieved our military objectives in the first two weeks 20 years ago. Leaving behind Americans, $69B in military hardware and supplies, pulling our troops out and not giving our Allies any time to safely pull out their people, being castigated by UK Parliament, German leaders, and made a laughingstock for the world, has just made our initial achievement so much wasted time….all because of a corrupt old fool…Biden.
Objective: Bilking the taxpayers of money for military contractors.
We have a bioweapon on the loose, worse bioweapons to come, nukes, AI weapons, and antimatter. What did we achieve? Pretty much it’s time for Resurrection through time travel and seven eyes of God.
