  1. Some of the most life changing books were given to me by specific teachers. I’d not have ever known about them without these teachers… This is sad.

    1. @Mr ReyWow! So you were there when she realized removing them ensured she would not inadvertently violate the fascist law passed by an ignorant legislature and twisted governor? You know without a doubt that her choice was emotion-fueled, eh? Or, did you just consult your crystal ball?

    2. @W Logan she is on full display in the video showing here emotional decision……what is it that you dont get??? Take a deep breath and relax.

    3. @Himawari Uzumaki Have you seen Project Veritas and the dean who was giving butt plugs and lube to underage kids in school? Or seen testimonials of parents reading pornographic passages in books in school board meetings?

    4. 😂🤣 life changing? Grooming is life changing I guess but you and this pedo leftist can keep your grooming books lol we will stick to factual books. You know reality.

  2. 2023 is really surprising me now that Amazons AMT99X hit the road. After all these years of barely reading anything good I was usually just shutting down any type of media influence as much as I can but this brings back good lights and it should give hope to some of you that no matter what is going on in the world at the end something good comes to surface

  3. I live in Florida. Two of the books under ‘review’ in Duval county are “Henry Aaron’s Dream” and “Roberto Clemente The Pride of the Pittsburgh Pirates”. Books about Babe Ruth, Micky Mantle and Lou Gehrig are not. Notice a pattern here?

    1. Cool cool cool you live in Florida. I only visit there and I talked with a lot of the people who live there, a lot of them like to talk and tell you about how wonderful Florida is. It’s amazing how much of a bigot DeSantis is when I’ve actually spoken with now hundreds of minority people that live in Florida. You would think one of these common, everyday people might have said something when directly asked the question, ” Is DeSantis really as bad as the media says?”, followed by “I want to make sure I’m not continuing to think a bad guy is good.” So what you’re saying is DeSantis is so hitleresque that minority people are afraid to tell the truth at a gas station, on a sidewalk, at a car museum etc?

    2. How is it even an argument when reading material is full of sexual content in a grade school? Anyone who defends this material is perverse and a deviant. When the left loses they defer back to racism and victimhood

    3. Yes, it falls directly in line with his other Racist policies. Gotta walk the walk if you’re going to get those Trump voters.Because you know he’s going to run for President. Only way he’s going to make a name for himself is to make every “Culture War/Woke Issue” part of his main agenda. That’s why it’s all CRT, Homophobia/Transphobia and worrying about the footwear of M&M’s. 😏 You know the “real important things” that impact everyday Americans. 🤣😂 But if he runs for something again in Florida you can bet that he’ll win by a landslide. The morons here can’t get enough of him. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

    Ignorance and prejudice
And fear walk hand in hand” N.Peart

    1. Is the John Grisham story A Time to Kill, woke crt? Because a father used a assault rifle to get revenge on chomos?
      Should it be removed?

    2. @Obverse Singularity I tried using liberal Google and they had nothing. Again, you must be lying!

Twitter/fakebook/google all did their censoring at the behest of the democrat party. With the help from the FBI. Even though, Twitter still allowed groups like ISIS to post. A KNOW TERRORIST GROUP
Social media has an obvious liberal bias!
Now we know the FBI does too!

    3. @Obverse Singularity good, cultural Marxism is a threat to my democracy. Get rid of all this woke trash and get back to educating the students instead of grooming them into far left trans extremists.

    1. @Trial by Wombat Or the Elementary school anywhere in the country that actually teaches critical race theory?

    2. @Trial by Wombat – i’d challenge you to define and tell me WHAT “this stuff” is , ,,, i bet you haven’t got a clue about the books at the school around the corner …..

    3. @Trial by Wombat – VoLtaire – can happen , though you should really re-read your comments , ,,, anyway i seriously doubt they have “All the President’s Hookers” or other ‘porn’ on their shelves , maybe a fairy-tale about the sources of the Ganges – or the Missouri / Missisippi ?? – very unlikely Baldwin and/or Kerouac – oh , you worry about Darwin and King Solomon’s poetry … Or What ???

  5. Reminds me of all those classics about knowledge and books and the ban and burn non-aproved contents. It was a warning but looks like florida adm didn’t read the classics or maybe it did and really wants a state who pre-aprove thought.
Will there be a thought police after this?

    1. The Bible is, and has been, on many a shelf in kid libraries. It has instructions on how you can shave your captive well enough that it is less unholy to rape her, the young woman or girl you detain in your house after you murder her family. Deuteronomy.

  6. Books can not be killed by fire. People die, but books never die. No man and no force can abolish memory… In this war, we know, books are weapons. And it is a part of your dedication always to make them weapons for man’s freedom.

  7. The further republicans go down the authoritarian pipeline the worse our democracy gets. I’m so tired of these people

    1. You mean like forcing our debt ceiling, abandoning weapons of mass destruction to tusken sand raiders, blowing up our own pipeline to cause a manufactured gas shortage, enforcing unconstitutional mask/vaccine mandates, targeting parents and Americans with a weaponized DoJ who works with partisan big tech companies to interfere in elections and censor people?

    1. @The Hard Truth 😵‍💫 Remember their EVERY accusation is a confession! So we now know what this one’s up to.

    1. @CC Of course they won’t, because that’s not what’s happening and the books you’re referring to aren’t what elementary school children are reading. The fact is that modern day Florida is rapidly being mutated into 1930s Germany under the control of the state’s proto-fascist Governor and Republican leadership. If you believe otherwise you’re living in fever dream state induced by the MAGA Kool-Aid you’ve been drinking.

    2. Because of YOUR VOTING, Obama and Biden let Russia into Europe in 2008, aided ISIS from 2009-2012, gave Russia and China control of the Middle East and Africa, destabilized Venezuela, let Iran aid North Korea, YOU SUPPORT OPEN BORDERS DURING A HOUSING CRISIS, not to mention the Left Wing is all about breading the weak as the US Military remains all Republican/Libertarian/Independent to clean YOUR MESSES!

  8. This censorship action by a state government is disturbing. While I agree that a school should not actively promote all the available alternative lifestyles, I don’t think every book needs to be removed from the shelves. When I was young, books were classified by age appropriateness, and some books were only used at the high school level, where they could be discussed in context. Surely there are reading lists for every grade level that could be used as a starting point to get the books back on the shelves. Our children need to read! It is the number one skill required to have a happy and productive life.

    1. @Rider 38 Yes, that is what I said. Schools should not actively promote alternative lifestyles. But to remove ALL the books makes no sense.

    2. @CC Yes, people often cry when they’re making a political statement. That was sarcasm, in case you missed it.

    3. “Promote alternative lifestyles”? I generally agree with you, but you sound as though you’re in need of considerably more books yourself.

  9. We should ban the poorly and uneducated from having children who complain to the people with degrees in Education. How can someone who knows NOTHING about Education tell professionals with degrees, research and experience how and what to teach children? I’m very thankful my children don’t live in Florida.

    1. @Ry Black Deciding to lie down in the backwoods with some inbred, like the Whittakers of Appalachia, and produce a child does make you parent. It doesn’t make you a good nor intelligent parent. Stay in your lane.

    2. It’s almost like liberals don’t think. Before posting random nonsense. Then how would black people reproduce? Or would you also need to add an amendment for ” diversity permits”

  10. Quite frankly, Teachers should have more authority on such matters. DeSantis isn’t a teacher, he knows literally nothing about the process, he should have no power or say here.

    1. Hey Elise where’d you go? I’m in here with Mark and Bobby taking care of business, have a seat. Huh? Why’s it so dark in here? Can I come in now? No you’re too young. No I’m not. Fine but you’ll have to prove it. I will. Uh oh I think I figured out what taking care of business means. We are each bustin a load into this bottle. If you don’t C** you have to drink it. Hahahaha. Give me that! I’ll show you. Direct text a from a book called “Flamer” read to a school board by a mother in Dearborn MI. That has no place in a CHILDRENS library. If you think it does you should be examined.

  11. Being a teacher in the State of Florida looks like it’s very challenging. I can’t understand why they stay. Positions for teachers are abundant all over the US and this would be the time to check those out. I live in a small town in Minnesota and the local school district is always advertising for teachers. They make about 45,000 (Starting wage) here and the price of a house is about 65, 000. Teachers unions here are strong and have great contracts for the teachers. Is it the beaches and the sun the reason they stay? They expect too much of these Florida teachers and white wash the curriculum which is unfair to the students. What are these future Florida students going to do when they learn the the world is not really as they were taught? North Korea come to mind when I think of Florida and their education department, that and communism. Good luck down there.

    1. Some teachers don’t want to move across the country. My daughter teaches in Fl. Why would she move to Mn.? Her healthcare is better than her husbands and she’d disrupt her young son’s life.

    2. @debbie savage I’m not saying it’s for everyone but you have to admit that what is happening there is just wrong. Teachers should be able to teach and not be the classroom police…That’s a parents job and it seems the State of Florida has decided that parents are not responsible for their own child’s behavior. Are there not actual criminal penalties for teachers in Florida because of these new laws? That’s crazy.

    3. Niagara Falls, New York, an economically disadvantaged city in a very wealthy state, is hiring qualified educators. Starting salary range depending on experience is $75-$95 thousand annual with full benefits, pension, including the respect and dignity the job of educator commands. Unlike most Florida school systems, the district is very well-funded with low student-teacher ratios, and all supplies including books are fully provided by a respectful and respected administration. Other districts in Western New York offer similar advantages and all offer an excellent quality of life in a region with a very low cost of living.

  12. Blame the voters of Florida. Teachers, get jobs in states that embrace higher learning and then all of the parents in Florida can wonder why their kids SAT scores are low and can’t get into anything but community colleges.

    1. Laughs in Anarchist Cookbook, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine and Chinese surveillance of the US 🙄 sorry they took your communist kitty porn. Not.

    1. @Melinda Hall Florida is a good place to visit and vacation and get good cocaine if that’s your thing. Not so good if you’re a free independent thinker who doesn’t blindly agree with the rising number of laws and legislation setting the State back 60 years.

    2. I am happy with all those books being taken.
Now all she has to do is remove Amanda Gorman and we’re set

    1. I think it’s more, it’s much harder to teach now that they stayed at home and destroyed a generation of children to promote socialism, lack of accountability, and personal gain. Having a real job is hard. Awwwww.

  13. Wow I never seen this when I went to a German school. Imagine, German schools would start removing any books that is about holocaust due to some parents nor wanting their kids to feel “guilty” which is bs! If they start doing that at my daughter’s school, I’m taking her out. This is freaking ridiculous!

    1. Am i missing something??? I would like to think parents would be for this! They are making sure them books dont have sick information that they shouldnt be reading! Or do u just let ur kids read anything?
