They could have allowed the family members to deliver justice appropriately and swiftly in that courtroom, simply by getting out of their way. This would have saved NY taxpayers millions.
@Panda .Panda Tempting as it is, the emotional damage to the family would only make things worse. We need to start paying attention to mental health just like physical health.

I don’t understand liberals. They have no issue with the fact that the Canadian government has euthanized over 30,000 Canadians since 2016, but they find death penalty for the most heinous criminals distasteful and barbaric. Sure many of the 30,000 are terminally ill, but there are some who are some seeking death only because they are depressed or simply can’t afford to live. It’s sad they are willing to give up so easily on the young and otherwise physically healthy, but they want to keep the worst criminals alive.
